Unfortunately, I booked a hotel with same day by paying partial amount instead of next day on which I actually wanted to check-in and cancelled it immediately. When I spoke with customer care executive asking for a refund, I was told that as per policy you aren’t eligible as cancellation happened with in 24 hours. I tried explaining it was a honest mistake but, they kept saying it is against policy and didn’t even tried to check with hotel management if they can proceed with a refund. It’s very bad that they are charging customers in the name of policy even though no service was provided and shows that they care more about making customers follow their policies rather than customer satisfaction. I wish they will come up with cost effective process for cancellations.
