I've done my M.Pharm in Pharmacology from SASTRA university, thanjavur. its a big campus, not huge and in that campus not even the registrar knows where the pharmacy block is. that's because it doesn't have one. basically SU started pharmacy (only M.Pharm mind u) cos it had the required facilities and wanted to rake in the moolah.
We paid the highest amount of fee per person and yet, there are no placements (even though the strength of a class is 16 or less). whats even more pathetic is that the huge central library doesn't have ne text books for pharmacy. there isnt any focus on extra-curricular activities, no conventions, no paper presentations, nothing for the pharma students. we get to see all the other students from diif streams do everything while we are spectators. sad. no hostel accommodation for the PG students. and its 8 hrs form Chennai.
I repent the day I made a decision to join this college.. I shud've stayed home. Do not join there for pharmacy.. I dunno about others anyway.. but pharmacy there S*CKS
