It offers many courses in btech and m tech.

Its admissions are only based on merit.

It has good infrastructure.it is more famous for bio technology.education is upto the best than many other colleges in TN.fee is also less when compared to other colleges.more saftey for girls girls are not allowed outside the campus.it has good placements and infrastructure.

Never ever ever enroll your kids in this place.this is a living hell.

The people here have no mercy, humility, empathy and what not.all the so called deans are ruthless.especially girls don't have freedom. It takes hell a lot of patience to put up with this place. Pls do a favour and don't ruin your life by joining here.

This college is very under rated compared to other colleges of Tamilnadu like SRM, MGR, Satyabhama and VIT.. In reality this college has better placement record then others and the college environment is amazing.. The academics is good and faculty are good. the administration is strict and attendance matters.

To be Frank, Life in SASTRA is simply amazing... TCS alone recruit nearly 1500 students from dis college every year more then 25 % of students get a dual placement.

Absolutely true.the most awful place on earth and I am not saying this bcoz everyone hates his collg of study.i am saying this, hand on heart. Please. It is issued in interest of general public, if you want to have a life, if you want to actually read in an engineering college(and not a dictator college), if you want to not hate yourself for the rest of your life, if you want yourself not to cry before going to sleep.and if you want to not think about suicide every single day.then please.please don’t join this college.

You can't do anything apart from mugging up

I was not as lucky as ’’rags612’’ who left the course in between.i endured the torture for entire 4 years.and that’s y I can say even with more pain that pls obstain from taking admission in this college

The only situations wen u shud/can go for this college are:-

1. you are a bloody South Indian

   
   




2. you can’t drop anymore

   
   




3. you have no choice left whatsoever but to beg on streets bcoz actually in 2011(wen I passed out) the placements were good(thnx to IT companies)

I was studying in sastra n pls note I WAS and then I quit in between and I am going to start my engineering again. its one of the worst places to study.

Very narrow minded people, the management is pathetic and I wonder how its been rated 66th all over india . there s absolutely no scope for extra curricular.

In fact rock music is banned in the college and fests will generally make u feel ur witnessing some kinda of a street play and there are 100 s of restrictions which will make your life miserable. hostels are badly maintained . campus is dirty mess food is inedible, weather s bloody hot.

The placements are not half as good as they claim it is. crowd s not great and it's located at about 50kms from trichy. Once in college u'll be cut off from the rest of the world.

I'm tellin this outta experience. I would never ever dream of studying in some place like this .

I've done my M.Pharm in Pharmacology from SASTRA university, thanjavur. its a big campus, not huge and in that campus not even the registrar knows where the pharmacy block is. that's because it doesn't have one. basically SU started pharmacy (only M.Pharm mind u) cos it had the required facilities and wanted to rake in the moolah.

We paid the highest amount of fee per person and yet, there are no placements (even though the strength of a class is 16 or less). whats even more pathetic is that the huge central library doesn't have ne text books for pharmacy. there isnt any focus on extra-curricular activities, no conventions, no paper presentations, nothing for the pharma students. we get to see all the other students from diif streams do everything while we are spectators. sad. no hostel accommodation for the PG students. and its 8 hrs form Chennai.

I repent the day I made a decision to join this college.. I shud've stayed home. Do not join there for pharmacy.. I dunno about others anyway.. but pharmacy there S*CKS
