I had brought an iCare extended 50 plan with my iPhone SE 2020 on 5th June, 2020 and had paid INR 6,499 for this. I was told by''Koramangala Apple Imagine'' store that this plan covers each and everything including replacement of the phone due to accidental damages within 18 months from the date of purchase. Accidentally my phone got damaged which resulted in damages to the back of the phone and home screen button stopped responding. Sides of the phone are also damaged. Phone automatically switches off and on sometimes. I had registered with Servify on 23rd August, 2020 to pick up the phone for replacement. I received a message stating that I will be contacted within the next 24 hours. When no one contacted me even after the said time, I called up the Servify Customer Care and they informed that the phone will be picked up and also said that I have to pay INR 1,000 as the service charge for this claim. But, the phone was actually picked up on 28th August, 2020, after multiple follow ups with the Servify Customer Care!
On 31st August, 2020, I received an invoice from Servify to make the payment of INR 15,665 by 2nd September, 2020 for them to proceed with the claim I had raised. When I called the customer support of Servify to inquire about the extra amount that was being requested to be paid, an executive named Ajay spoke very rudely and unprofessionally. When I asked about the reason for such huge amount for the claim, he repeatedly mentioned to go through the terms and conditions. Also, he informed that the approved claim amount is INR 9,000 which is INR 2,500 more than what I had paid for the insurance! If this was the case, why would I have purchased the insurance in the first place? I am sensing some big scam and customers are being misguided in the Imagine store or by Servify or both of them. I am not receiving proper response from anyone.
