Believe it or not - Wakad is just a stone's throw away from the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech IT Park at Hinjewadi Pune.
A large number of IT Techies live in Wakad which is being touted as an upcoming suburb of Pune and property rates are very high.
Surprisingly there is no BSNL Broadband available in Wakad and there is no other broadband internet service provider(ISP) in Wakad Pune.
The only internet available in Wakad is the Reliance Netconnect Datacard. Earlier the performance was quite good but now the performance has deteriorated badly due to some technical problems which results in fluctuating and poor signal strength resulting in slow internet speeds and frequent disconnections.
When you call reliance communication customer care they say there are technical problems in the network at Kalewadi Pune and reliance technical staff is looking into it, but the problem still persists for a long time.
If you are thinking of getting Reliance Netconnect please take an onsite trial in your house, check the speed and signal strength and convince yourself that there are no connectivity or network problems in the areas where you intend to use your internet datacard.
