Network Coverage:
In the beginning, Reliance had good coverage, especially in tier-2 and rural areas. Voice clarity was decent, and call drops were rare. However, in the last few years before it closed, the network quality started to decline. Weak signals and frequent call drops became common.
Internet Services:
Reliance was one of the first operators to introduce CDMA and later 4G services at budget rates. But the data speed was never consistent. Downloads were slow, and streaming was often interrupted. Compared to competitors like Jio or Airtel, Reliance’s mobile data struggled to keep up in its final phase.
Tariff Plans:
This was the strongest point of Reliance. It offered very cheap call rates, combo packs, and SMS plans, which made it a hit among students and budget users. For years, it was the most cost-effective option in the market.
Customer Service:
Customer care used to be responsive in earlier years, but as the company started facing financial issues, the service quality dropped. Long waiting times, unhelpful responses, and unresolved complaints became common.
Shutdown Experience:
The sudden closure of Reliance Mobile services left many users confused. There was no proper communication or transition support, and customers had to quickly switch to other networks.
Final Verdict:
Reliance Mobile had great potential and offered solid value during its peak. Unfortunately, it couldn’t keep up with changing technology and strong competition. Though it’s no longer active, many users still remember it as an affordable and user-friendly operator of its time
