Have been using Paytm for more than 4 years, mainly for mobile recharge, electricity bill, and UPI payments. Overall the app is very useful and reliable in day-to-day life.
The good part is that almost every type of payment is possible – recharge, electricity, DTH, metro card, FASTag, even insurance. The app is fast and most payments are successful within seconds. Cashback offers are also attractive, especially for new users or during special promotions.
Another positive point is that you can also use Paytm Wallet and Paytm Bank, which makes transactions easy. Sending and receiving money is smooth.
But the bad part is that the app shows too many ads and promotional banners. Sometimes it becomes confusing to find the main option because of the offers popping up. Also, customer care is not always responsive when a payment fails. In rare cases, refund takes a few days.
