We had a highly disappointing experience with NoBroker Interiors. Below are some of the issues we faced across various stages of the project:

Sales and Booking

  1. Misleading Initial Quotes: The salesperson shared an initial quote with a lower amount to attract us, but this was far from the final cost. Also, very base level materials are considered which obviously make lower quote.

  2. Cluttered Quotation Format: Quotes are disorganized, listing individual furniture components instead of item-wise pricing. This makes it difficult to understand what part belongs to which furniture unit, especially when multiple items are involved.

  3. Deceptive Discounts: They advertise a 40% discount on the gross quote, but this only applies to the material cost and that too not all materials. The quote doesn't clearly separate material and service charges and the % discount applied to individual items, making it difficult to understand how much discount is actually applied to.

  4. Price Escalations: The initial quote is far from final. As the design process progresses and materials are selected, costs keep increasing upto 40-50%, and most of it was attributed to "upgraded offerings"—which were not requested. There was no mention of such escalations in agreement signed at the beginning.

  5. False Promises: The sales team made multiple promises at the time of booking, many of which were not honored later.

  6. Hidden Penalty for Descoping: They claim to allow descoping of items till 2 Lacks value, without any charges. However, if the total descoping exceeds 25% of the maximum quote during the design phase, they increase design charges and reduce the discounts. This means that if you added any extra items later, and the quote increased as a result, this higher quote becomes the baseline for the 25% threshold calculation. Essentially, it penalizes you for making adjustments to the design, as it reduces your discount and may even lead to additional design charges.

  7. Sales person even promised to intervene in case of any challenges later, however didn't even bothered to pickup even a single call, later.

Design Phase

  1. Slow and Uninspired Design Team: The design team worked at a frustratingly slow pace. Their design suggestions were mostly pulled from Google or Pinterest, with little originality or customization.

  2. No much customisations possible. Especially sunmica/ laminates can only be plain ones without any designs with cuts or curves.

  3. Repeated Errors and Oversights: The assigned designer repeatedly made several mistakes and missed to accurately incorporate our requirements, even after repeated discussions and clear communications in writing.

  4. Delayed Revisions: Every revision after the miss, took 7–10 days to implement, leading to the design phase lasting nearly three months.

  5. Unresponsive Communication: Designers often failed to respond to calls or messages in a timely manner—sometimes ignoring them completely.

  6. No proper 3D Designs: They claim to share 3D renders initially at the time of sales but later deny or do not respond when asked to provide 3D renders which every small service provider offers these days. As such one never gets an idea about how your home would look like with the selected materials. Such basic thing is not provided.

Material Selection

  1. Limited Options: The range of materials—especially laminates and hardware like handles—is very limited. Most options are only revealed after payments are made and during later stages of material selection.

  2. If any items are required to be descoped later due to limited choice of materials, they would demand additional design charges or reduction in discounts as mentioned above.

Our Verdict:

The overall experience so far was riddled and frustrating with delays, hidden charges, and unprofessional behavior. We regret having chosen this service provider and if we are asked for feedback, we would strongly advise against choosing them for Interiors.
