I haven't seen such a nicely told story in recent times. Far away from jumping from buses trains or even aeroplanes and dancing in Switzerland, this film shows Tamil cinema can be damn realistic too. Samudrakani tells us the story of how far friends are ready to help lovers unite.
The friends face daggers and swords, one loses his love, one loses his hearing and another loses his leg while trying to unite a boy and girl from two big families with political backgrounds.The irresponsible lovers fail to maintain the marriage and the friends feel like fools and they go for a vengance.
The lusty love of today is exposed to the core. But even after such a betrayal the friends are ready to risk their lives again for another love as shown in the last frame. So friends we still believe in true love. It is a must watch for lovers and friends.
