Terrible experience with Letsbuy.com

I have had a terrible experience with Letsbuy.com. I placed an order with Letsbuy.com on 18-Jan-2012 for Ajanta OLC-302 Digital Wall Clock. The payment of Rs. 675.00 was made by credit card.  Order No.LSB-793170.


The product was delivered on 21-Jan-2012. On opening the package it was found that the clock was damaged. The glass was broken too. I called up the customer care, they asked me to put my concerns in email along with the photos of the damaged clock. I did so. They called me up and assured that they would arrange a pickup from my address and replace it soon. But till date they have not picked up the damaged clock.


Today, i.e. on 08-FEB-2012, they have sent an email asking me to take the damaged clock to a authorized service station and get it repaired as it is under one year warranty.


This is very strange. Why should I carry a damaged product around and wasting my time, energy and money and lose the convenience of ONLINE  SHOPPING.


I have made up my mind to approach the consumer forums, if Letsbuy doesn't arrange a replacement for the damaged clock.
