Hello Friends
Myself and my three friends made the wrong decision of going with IDBI home loan.
Never ever opt for IDBI services. They are not a nationalized bank and they cheats the customers big time. As many other friends mentioned here, they have norms where you get stuck with IDBI's home loans and you cannot imagine transferring it to other bank because of the ad-hoc charges. One you avail their service, they have separate bank/loan division to serve you. These people are not at all professional or customer-friendly and they speak ridiculous. No knowledge of basic banking terms, and sometimes the manager itself blames the bank for such policies.
If you are constructing your home, you cannot get your due released on time and they will make you run around.
They also charge many additional charges including personnel insurance, property insurance which are not reasonable at all. These all will come as a surprise at the time of loan approval letter and you will not have time to think about other bank because of their lengthy/delayed process. once you start, you are trapped.
