My Birth Place - HOWRAH. Review on Howrah

I am born and brought up in Howrah and trust me there is not a single place in Howrah where I have not been to. Howrah is combined with both old and modern era. Howrah is an industrial city though there is some kind of purity in the air that holds people from going anywhere.

Howrah is the second largest city after Kolkata and it is well connected via railways roadways and airways. Howrah Railway Station is one of the largest interconnected Railway station in the country. Howrah is also connected via NH2 and NH6 which makes accessibility easier. If you like to visit Howrah via airways then you have to take a public transport from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport which will take not more than half an hour to reach Howrah.

If you are likely to visit places in Howrah first go and visit Belur Math. You may not find a peaceful place like this. I already told you about Howrah Station. We are very religious so you will find temples everywhere in Howrah. You have Botanical Garden here, the Rail Museum, the Grand Trunk Road, if you are a guy who loves to go to movies and shopping malls, you have Avani Mall, Rangoli Mall and many small malls spread throughout the city. The most important things apart from these are the bridges. We have 4 major bridges connecting Kolkata and Howrah without which live would be standstill here. The famous Rabindra Setu aka Howrah Bridge, The Vidyasagar Setu, Vivekananda Setu and Second Vivekananda Setu.

There are not much hotels because people who visits here most of them stays in Kolkata the heart of Bengal. But if you really want to stay in Howrah you will get hotels that’s for sure because it is available. Howrah is a place where there is not much criminal activity took place. Yes there are few times when people has to face safety issues but Howrah police took care of them. If you are a tourist you will not face problem . So don’t just think, come and have fun here .
