Firstly the Parking lot of HomeTown (Future Group) is a ware-house and then you are ripped off with Rs. 50.00 for parking there. If you don't purchase anything then you will loose. When I went to purchase my Kitchen I looked at the review in MouthShut and even though the reviews on this store were bad I thought may be majority of the people are wrong and made a purchase in Hometown. Mistake! HomeTown will lure you in with some fancy ads and you will get bad experiance.
Design Work: After couple of iterations we did arrive at a plan but with some limitations because the italian kitchens at HomeTown are not good if there are columns at the corners and if there is depth difference between column and the wall. Secondly, it is better to go to stores who deal with the whole kitchen as a turnkey project. Hometown quoted Rs. 34K for the granite. The entire Granite that need to be laid is only 40. Sq.ft. Too expensive! I got same thing worked out for 17K. Too Expensive. If you go with these guys you end up paying close to double compared to others in Bangalore. Say, even if there service is not screwed up, they are ripping you off in other areas. So it is important that when you are looking to get your Kitchen consider the Granite work too. There recommendations on the pipes was also not right. I had to re-do because there first recommendation did not mention that the minimum height of the pipe should be at-least 6 inches above from the floor.
Hometown Bangalore (Ring Road)--Finally I ordered Italian Kitchen from this place. One of biggest mistake of my life. I ordred little early expecting that my apartment will be complete but the apartment took little longer to complete. I have asked to keep the product for few weeks but when I got the product the boxes were all damaged.
I informed the following people that the boxes are damaged except their super boss Vishal. Inspite of calling Vishal multiple times he is always busy.

The answer from the Rajesh and Nirmal is that "don't worry" we are going to replace the product if it is damaged. During the installation I saw the product damaged and now they cannot help me. The service is bad at best. They keep passing the buck and no one is ready to help. As I said cheaters who will take your money but will not give any service when needed.
I am not sure what my options are but I will continue to work with them for resolution.
Bottomline- Stay away! There is a reason why people give reviews and the reviews on Hometown say it hardly deserves worth a visit. Again Stay Away!
Update from HomeTown 22nd May 2010:
Quote from Vishal's (Manager) email message. "Now after installation you have noticed few damages which could have occur at ware house or in transit. Sir, We have to replace the damage items the but it cant be a free of cost as we can't be responsible for the damages which had happened due to very late delivery at site."
'Sir, we would be giving the replacements to you on a nominal rates and I would be processing this replacement order only after your confirmation and acceptance of the quoted value of replacement and date of delivery."
I will be the first guy on the planet who will be buying (If I do as per Vishal's proposal) the same product again from the same store for the damage that has occurred in the "transit or ware-house' which they are responsible for.
Update from HomeTown 26nd May 2010:After numerous calls Vishal got back with a new proposal which is he will "try to" repair the product. For that he needs another couple of days. Vishal is compulsive liar. Vishal will say he will get back and he will not. As soon as you call him he will say he was about to either compose an email to you or trying to call you. No credibility. I am sure he won't respond and hence I will call again tomorrow to hear his stories. HT wastes lot of your time. Bad business practices!
