My son and me have an HDFC Bank  Account and Debit Card. On 22 August 2007 my son's debit card was wrongly swiped at Endurance Fitness for Rs. 10, 000/-. When he pointed out the mistake they reversed the entry for a refund and told him that the amount wrongly debited will be credited to his account immediately.


More than 10 days have passed but the amount has still not been credited till 03 Sep 2007.Repeated queries at the HDFC bank have yielded the standard reply that this will take some more time till they receive an intimation from VISA.


This is strange. Whereas they debit any amount immediately, they are dilly dallying and taking such a long time to refund the amount due and causing financial loss to my son for no fault of his.I find the general attitude at HDFC Bank has become quite careless, non-bothered and lackadaisical - certainly not customer friendly. I hope they do something positive about achieving customer delight.
