The customers pay a high premium because they believe in brand name. I purchased Haldiram''s MIXED pickle by paying a hefty premium as compared to other brands available. It was supposed to be MIXED pickle, and must contain Ginger, Green Chillies, Kamal Kakri, Mango etc etc. But, when I opened it, I was very very disappointed with the product as it contained only Mango and carrot pickle. Mangoes and carrots are the cheapest material for pickles. That is why, Hadiram is defrauding customers in the name of mixed pickles. So, I would advise potential customers not to buy Haldiram''s pickles. There is no way that I could attach a photograph here, otherwise I would have done that.
