Gujarat Technical University is one of the main universities in Gujarat for Engineering colleges. Initially there was Gujarat University, not along with GU, other universities also got joined and formed Gujarat Technical University altogether.
This new GTU structure and all is not that good compared to the former ones. The exam system they follow, the paper checking system might not be the better one as we can see the ratio of students getting failed is rising up, not going down after this merge.
Anyways, according to students I have seen, Placements are going good in major colleges. Other than those colleges, placements are still as it is, somewhere no companies are coming to the campuses at this year even.
Overall structure is not that good, but still one highly reputed universities on your career certificate. So one should take the admission near to their home, as it wont make much difference wherever you study collegewise under the same umbrella of a GTU.
