I had the most harrowing experience with Goibibo that has left me and my family mentally exhausted and extremely disappointed. We had booked Jal Mahal Resort in Mysore through Goibibo for 12th July, and were travelling with our two young children(aged 4 and 10). What was meant to be a relaxing weekend turned into a complete disaster due to Goibibos incompetence and shocking customer service.


We reached the resort at around 3:30 PM, only to be told by the staff that there was an overbooking issue, and no rooms were available for us. The resort and goibibo was clearly at fault .This left us completely stranded in a city we didnt know, with two tired and hungry children.


I immediately contacted Goibibos customer service. The first executive kept me on call for over 20 minutes and then abruptly disconnected the call, claiming his system had hung a blatant lie, clearly an excuse to drop a difficult situation.


I then called again and had to start the entire process from scratch shockingly, there was no record of my previous conversation. The second executive was incredibly rude, showed zero empathy, and said I should book my own stay, and they would just refund the amount later if I sent an invoice. This was around 6 PM by now, and we were still stuck without a place to go. No one from Goibibo took ownership, offered assistance in finding an alternative stay, or even showed basic courtesy or urgency.


Finally, after hours of stress, the third executive agreed to a refund but by then, the damage was done. Our entire day was wasted, our weekend was ruined, and we went through unnecessary mental harassment, especially in front of our children.


This is not just a failed booking this was a complete breakdown of customer care, accountability, and human decency. Goibibo cannot be trusted when things go wrong. Their customer service is not just ineffective, but irresponsible and insensitive, and I would never recommend them to anyone, especially families.


This is the last time I will ever use Goibibo. The emotional distress and chaos they put us through is unforgivable.
