Upon first glance this website is mediocre and doesn't gain much attention. Many would reach for the x in the top right corner, however I decided not to judge a book by its cover. Through further inspection one would notice that the group isnt a registered nonprofit but performs benevolent acts for the communities and neighborhoods of New York City.
Users aren't harrassed to make a donation but are quickly prompted to visit the free forum section. In this section, viewers can become members and "voice" (as the website says) their problems in their area, rather their concerns that they feel affect the community in sort of a malicious way. Members are also asked to aid in decided where the money earned/donated is to be designated.
The idea sounds great and promising , although I believe american express has a similar promotion and they are nation wide. But I guess two good things are better than one.
