I have a Citi bank account and I wanted to deposit cash of Rs 35, 000 in my daughter’s account for her college fees. Then I was decide to put some cash in her account. I was sitting in front of the banker’s seat with the bag of money. I was afraid but I was in bank so I think that its banks responsbility to catch the thiefs of any cash. I kept the bag on the table and looked for my mobile to call my daughter. Suddenly I checked that shocked for atleast 2 minutes.
The moment I took the mobile and saw at the table, my bag was gone. Very awkward moment for me. I was taken aback. And I was confused that wat I do. I asked the manager whether he saw or took it but he denied. I checked and request for cctv fotage. Firstly, he did not trust me saying I would have put is somewhere and asked me to check. Inspite of my repetitive answer that somebody took it he did not take any action. A few minutes later, he stood and asked for a bag but nobody knew about it. If he had taken action earlier, the thief might have been caught. After police interogaration and CCTV footage, the culprit was arrested but my money was lost due to bank’s negligence.
