I am watching Chandragupt serial regularly and found it educational teachings of Chankya on diplomacy, economics, warfare, etc. There are several version and interpretations of Chandragupt and not much artifacts were available until beginning of the of the 20th Century. It is difficult to ascertain which version is true, but story resurrect national pride as finally Chandragupt evicted Seleucus from India! However, as usual this serial like Indian movies also has flavor of Masala.
In the recent episode, Director has attempted incorporate idea of Gladiator using slaves to fight of die, a way of entertainment organised in ancient Greece. Chandragupt is being taken a prisoner fro treason to kill Seleucus now being the gladiator who has to fight to survive! Though the idea is not bad but it should have been acknowledged that it has been taken from movie GLADIATOR.
