I bought into the Airtel live plan. The plan is 30 paise per 20 KBPS. When I examine the bill I figure out that the usage and the billed amount are not in line with the plan. When I call up to clarify the same I am told that there 20 KBPS is being treated as a call duration - that is if you use anything between 1 KBPS or 20 KBPS you will be charged 30 paise. Now this does not make any sense in case of data - when they sell the plan they say you pay for what you use. That time they do not tell you that the data connection instance will come into play.
Technically data connection need not have any instance issue it is a continuous connection and we should pay as much as we use but Airtel has crafted this fraudulent billing scheme to mislead customers.
Please check your plans before you sign up.
