Bought a ULIP, where the salesman did not specify the 35% charges for maintaining the account. Partly my ignorance to not read the offer document, but very cheap of their salesman. It was sold to me by my Citibank Relationship manager, so he is largely at fault too. Citibank has tied up with Birla to sell their insurance products.
My advice: Never buy a Birla Sun Life investment product. Their principles are more around making money for themselves, instead of for their customers.
