We brought a timeshare in 2002 at the Holiday Inn, which is a lovely hotel with modern facilities. In 2002 the Indian economy was under pressure, so they wanted our money to invest in a timeshare and built many new blocks. At first it was great, but since the Indian economy strengthened they now cater for Indian weddings, with 100 guests & need the timeshare rooms to support the Holiday Inn's needs. You will never get the weeks you want and sometimes when you get the weeks, they take them back a few weeks later, after you have booked your flights. They have even offered to buy back their rooms. Some members are in their room but are then offered free meals, rooms in another hootel & agreed dates at the Holiday Inn for the following year, if they move out of their room for 3 days. My advice is DO NOT BUY A TIMESHARE AT THE HOLIDAY INN GOA

I recently bought Holiday club membership of jukaso journeys. Though I was afraid after reading review of Time sharing of jukaso but I found things were ok. I din't expect the royal treatment but that was above my expectations. Hotel they provide was good, food was good but tour guide they provided was awsm. he was with full of knowledge and take us to site seeing. overall it was a nice experience. As financial that was economical too. I will give 4 points to the hotel. One can join.

My husband and I traveled to the Grand Mayan Resort in may, 2014 for a week's vacation. We were asked to attend a breakfast the next morning, "to acquaint us with the property". Unfortunately we said "yes." We had no intention of buying a Timeshare and made that perfectly clear To VIDA. From 9:15 A.M. to 5:00P.M., the VIDA representatives were twisting our arms to buy into a Private Residence Club, which the representatives assured us was different than a timeshare.


Indeed, it was just another name for a Timeshare The information we received was confusing and misleading. We purchased into the Bliss Resort, thinking our condo would be located at the Grand Mayan near the Water Park and Beach. The contract we signed stated we were buying property in Puerto Vallarta. The representative assured us we were buying into the VIDA family, claiming that we could use any Bliss Property. Well, some of the properties had not been built yet, or were in the process of being built. We were pressured for 8 hours. Every time we attempted to leave the table, one of 5 individuals(four at one time at one point) would offer us another week for free or almost free. We eventually signed to purchase. Once we returned home and were able to research the company, we found that we bought into a TimeShare which was basically worthless. Within two weeks, we were ready to cancel the contract, but the 5 day "grace period" had expired. We began researching our options to cancel the contract.


Both my husband and I were questioning our decision making by then, and were afraid of making a poor choice in selecting an attorney to represent us in Mexico. I interviewed a number of attorneys both in the States and in Mexico. We surveyed blogs and web sites and read dozens of stories about people who like us, were sold a bag of lies and misrepresentations. Mexican Timeshare Solutions located in Mexico was chosen to represent us. We had many questions. How many cases had they lost? How long does this process take? AND-do we only pay when our contract is cancelled? They answered every question. We took a leap of faith and crossed our fingers.


Our representative was Ricardo Lasko. We promptly cancelled our credit card and made a complaint against VIDA for fraud. Our credit card was reimbursed the downpayment we made to VIDA. I was very afraid this would effect our credit. It didn't. In september, we received a short letter from VIDA, stating our contract was cancelled. We followed up the next day with VIDA Customer Service and they confirmed that the contract was cancelled and we owed them nothing. Several days later, we received an email from MTS with a request for payment for their services, as per their contract with us. We gladly paid for their services.


We recommend the services of MTS. They delivered the cancelled VIDA contract in four months. Our peace of mind is well worth the fee. Lesson learned.

On 14-Mar-2015 during our trip to Goa, I along with my wife, were roaming in Calangute where an executive from Club Omega Holidays approached us and offered us one lucky draw coupon. On opening the coupon there was a mega price of Laptop/ Camera /LED TV / Holiday worth Rs 25, 000.


As a condition for claiming the prize, we were asked to visit one of their resorts namely, Hotel Nagoa Grand Resort(Address: No 18/1, Nagoa, Arpora, Bardez, Near Baga Beach, North Goa at NAGOA) .


When we went there to claim, we were then told that it is mandatory to first attend a presentation before claiming the prize. The so called holiday consultant then showed us various 5 star hotels and told us that they have a tie up with DAE(Dial An Exchange) and we can holiday in these hotels by paying some minimal charges for a period of 10 years if we take their membership for Rs. 70000.


But when we actually tried booking the hotel using their membership, no hotels were available for booking. We tried talking to Dial An Exchange on their customer care number which shows its address and phone number for Bangalore, but all in vain since that Bangalore number gets routed to Hotel Nagoa Grande Resort Receptionist’s mobile(the entire scam is running from that hotel). We emailed / called on customer care number several times within 3 days of Membership purchase to Cancel our membership and refund our Money as we were not satisfied with the membership because the claims which were made before selling us the membership turned out to be false.


But they simply denied cancelling the membership and refunding our money stating that membership is Non refundable in any circumstance and its written on the agreement but in reality nowhere in agreement its written that membership fees is non refundable. However, it is written that Vacation fees is non refundable and we have not booked any vacation with them. And on their Website also its clearly written that if cancellation request is made within 7 days then money will be refunded back. We called their Manager Ashutosh on his Mobile phone on 17-03-2015 and his Executive Sri Ram and told them that we want to cancel the membership and want refund of our membership fees as we are not satisfied with the membership.


They assured us a call back for checking the cancellation policy with their senior Shantanu, after which neither they called back nor picked our phone . We tried connecting with them on their mobile phones but no response from their side. We asked customer care to connect us with their  Managers Ashutosh and Shantanu  who sold us this membership but they never connected us with them and when we told them that we will lodge complaint in police then they disconnected the Call.


Club Omega Holidays are cheating the tourists in GOA by luring them with Lucky draw coupons and by selling them their Memberships by making false claims. They have a well scripted fraud plan where they filter their targets by gathering some of the basic information from the tourists by asking questions during the course of discussion like:


1)    Are you husband-wife(lucky draw is only for husband –wife, since generally couples prefer more to go for such memberships)


2)    Your age group is between 30-40(they target people who have capacity to pay and will to go on holidays with family).


3)    Do you have a credit card with you(executive told this to be a pre – requisite for claiming the prize. Now we realize they asked for it so that they can swipe/ debit the entire amount in the name of authorization).


4)    You should be tourist only with no connection in Goa(By the time tourists reach their hometown and realize that they have been cheated, they are in no position to file an FIR in police station or file a case in consumer court since the cause of action lies entirely in Goa and under no circumstance the tourist will come back to Goa to take legal action since that itself will double the expense of the tourist).


5)    List down the last three trips and the total expense you made on those trips(by this they take idea about the paying capacity and how frequently the person holidays.


Also they show the same amount in the end to compare how much the tourist had spent on just 3 holidays in the past and how he can be benefitted in future by paying a much lesser amount that too for 5 star hotels by taking club omega’s membership). This fraud is going on a large scale as they have been targeting lot of tourists in Goa.


Guys beware and do not fall prey to such fraudsters.

Awesome hiolidays is a Delhi based time share company which sells membership for holiday packages at their resorts.


Do not get trapped by the offer from Awesome holidays. They will offer you some amazing deals to get your money but once they have your money you will repent why you took the membership. You will ask them to make a booking for you in one of their cheap resorts and they will not even respond to you. The onus will be on you to do multiple followups with them and some how get the booking for the resort. You will keep following up with them till your vacation time is almost there and by then they will not have any choice for you and you will have to settle for whatever hotel/resort they give you which will be of even cheaper quality than the one they showcase on there website.


It is run by a bunch of corrupt & highly unprofessional people who just want your money in their pocket.

We have been members for over 10 years but maintenance charges have shot up in the last few years & then we keep being told, like many timeshare owners, the weeks we requested are not available. We have been told we must book in Oct 2011 for the 2013 year, which we did, only to be told no weeks were available. We would be advised of any cancellations if they came up.


We are red season members but nothing is offered for up to 2 years in advance, they are fully booked. We now see the timeshare accommodation offered in travel brochers. The travel brochers for 2013 and the flights are not even released yet but it seems their is no room at the Inn. Averina Beach is in the grounds of the Holiday Inn! Has anyone else had this problem with Averina?


Club Mahindra fooling members in booking system

Club Mahindra thinks that members are fool and members have no other option but to abide by rules and regulations they have made.


They never allot rooms as per members’ choice in the first instance. Whenever a member wants to book a room in a particular resort they never give the clear availability position of that resort. To show transparency in availability position Club Mahindra’ has made a link called check availability position on its site for various resorts. But in most of the cases you will never be able to find availability in that resort for next 3 or more months.


So, you are left with no other option but to contact club mahindra’s representative through phone at their call centre for booking rooms in a resort of your choice.


Normally in first instance, call centre representative will suggest you a non popular resort in that season like in months of Jan/ Feb/ March/ July/ Aug/ Sept/ Oct/ Nov, they will suggest you destinations like Shimla, Binsar, Maussorie or Corbett andin months of May/ June they will either offer Goa or South India destinationswhere Monsoon has already started or Kumbhalgarh/Navalgarh(Raj.) where nobody will like to go due to very high temperature.


And in most of the cases he will manage to convince you to take holidays in the resort of his choice in non-season time when those resorts remain vacant or he will allot you the resort of your choice but dates of his choice.


Why? Why they don’t make the booking Procedure like Indian Railways where a person can book tickets up to 3 months in advance with complete transparent procedure.


Club Mahindra should adopt booking Procedure like Indian Railways where a member can make his bookings up to 3 months in advance as per their season i.e., Blue/White/Red/Purple.


But in this system how will Club Mahindra be in position to sell Rooms to non-members in summer or winter vacations and festive seasons. Also, rooms can be purchased by a non-member on cash basis just 7 days prior to his holidays whereas a member has to book his rooms’ months in advance.


And if you think I am wrong dial Club Mahindra number just 7 days before your desired dates and ask them to book a room saying that you are not a member and want to book a room on Cash basis and I am sure you will succeed to book a room whereas the same room is not available when you happen to be a member.


And then members are left with no other option but to take holidays in the resorts in non-season time when these resorts remain vacant.


Also, a Member must pay Annual Subscription Fee(ASF) from Rs. 9, 000 to 15, 000 per year otherwise a member will not be able to book a room. Moreover, if a member doesn’t pay ASF for two years continuously his Membership will be cancelled and his 7 night holiday for each year will also lapse.


And if due to non-availability of rooms as per members’ choice of dates or if member is not in position to avail holidays for some time continuously due to any reason, he still has to pay ASF for that period(Rs. 9000 to 15000/- per year) and at the same time one cannot bank more than 21 days. This means that your days beyond 21 days will lapse in spite of the fact that you have already paid ASF for that period.


When a person is not using his days either ASF should not be charged or days should not be lapsed.

I am a member of Country club from Dubai. Joined in Jan 2011.


I have a heavy complaint regarding the services provided by the team in Dubai.


We had various promises made  by the Country Club(CC) sales person when he came to sell the  membership to us. We were told that CC could help us getting  reservations anywhere we want to travel(in & outside India). In  case they do not have a tie up in that city/ country . they can arrange  for us at an additional cost. If we want we can also break our 1 week  stay to 2 places.


We are a family of 5 adults,  the membership is under my brother's name which is extended to my  parents & we 2 sisters. We were also told that the accommodation  allotted would be for 2 adults & 2 children(under 12), incase the  children are above 12 there is an additional charge & a further  charge for the 5th person.


Earlier  this year we were planning a trip to Nepal & when we approached  them . the same sales guy plainly refused saying "we donot have any  links in Nepal". But then why did you promise all that? To which he  refused to acknowledge.


I  am planning a trip to Shimla-Manali this year with my family. When I  checked on the reviews of the hotels provided by CC, I landed up  getting very negative reviews about the hotels at both the places. When  we approached the customer care staff in CC Dubai, stating that by all  means we donot want those hotels can you arrange in the hotels that we  want? He refused. He further added. saying that he is aware of the  negative reviews & also that the hotel commits to CC that they would  provide Superior suits but when the customer lands up there. they  provide standard rooms. & all this he says is not CC's  responsibility. Is this how you treat your member. who has done  their reservations based on their trust on you & you dont even take  the responsibility of getting them a good hotel/ room.


The worst was yet to come when he added "Why dont you try another city". Now am I suppose to know from  a representative from CC where do I need to plan my vacation?


What  does a tie up mean. When you cannot guarantee the class of service?  How can this not be CC's responsibility?. This is something I fail to  understand


I  even addressed the Nepal case to him to which his answer was "Mam when  we donot have links how do we cater to you". & when I asked him.  why was all that promised to us when you had to sell your membership?.  To which his reply was "why are you telling me all this. contact the  sales person who promised all this to you".


What else does customer care mean? when they have to reroute the  customers back to the sale guys? Is this how customer care is suppose to  treat clients?


The fact of the matter was. we never came to meet  him. we did come down to meet the sales person. who for what ever  reason is never available on calls. & who left early that day for  personal reasons; & we land up in the hands of this guy, who had no  idea how to talk to clients.


He  did not even tell us whom could we approach with our grievances. It was  as though all he wanted to say was "We work just like this. accept it  or leave it".


At  one point he even commented. "You cant get all services by paying  peanuts" That was the limit; we refused to talk to him any more &  just walked out of there.

I became club mahindra member last year. in 1 year I felt that I am bing cheated. 1st the sales person gave us half and frauslent information. He did not mention us many of the rules. which I came to know from my friends or after joining at the time of booking. He did not mention me about the yearly membership fees we have to pay(currently paying more than 13000/-) .


I came to know only when I read the terms and conditions on the membership form. They offered me free 1 week stay for 1 year at the time of booking. I made payment by march 2010 and my membership was activated in June 2010. When I first called to avail this benefit for holidays in May 2010 they said my member ship is not activated. After that I did not got much time.


But this year when I called for availing this benefit for April 2010. They said this offer was only for 1 year and completed in March 2011. I have membership of 4 person i.e. 1 room Apartment. some of their resorts do not have 1 room apartment. But only studio apartments where max 3 persons can stay. When I demanded that my membership is for 4 person and so I should get accommodation for 4 person.


They refused to give me. It is very important to know the calculation of different seasons and different room. otherwise you will get frustrated at the time of booking. other major problem is availability. every time I call even 4-5 months in adavce I never get booking on the dates I want. But for the same dates if I call as outsider they say room is available.


My advise is before booking make sure to understand following points:




  1. Calculation of seasons diffrence.




  2. Calculation of diffrent type of room membership.




  3. all details about free stay they offer you.




  4. understand their booking process.




  5. details of yearly menbership.




  6. Ask the sales person to fill the form in your presense.




  7. DO read the terms and conditions for hidden clauses.






If some one ask for my advise. I will say strickly no for clum Mahindra. It is waste of your hard earn money.


Dont go for Club Mahindra Membership

This is regarding the club mahindra membership. First thing no doubt there hotels are good, hospitality is also good. And the entertainment activities organized in the hotels for the guest are very good. But being a member of club mahindra is a great suffering after spending a lot of money you will not get the desired destination at the desired time u have to plan 6 months in advance with confirm dates and I dont think that we indians are used to such kind to timetable.


Now what they have to say when offering you a membership. They give RCI membership complimentary which is of no use for middle class families. There you did not get booking in the good rated hotels and also u have to desposite your week of holidays in advance+ a transaction fees for making a booking. they if cancelled then very high penalty .


One more thing you can not split your week and if you dont want to stay there for more that 2or 3 days then also u have pay for whole week. And also they did not got there resorts in time share where you can stay for a week like mauritius, maldiview etc . Place where you can stay and have fun whole week. The thing is like this that if u book through RCI then you have to surrender whole your week whether you stay at the property one night or six nights that does not matter charge is same.


Now about studio apartment they first sale studio apartment with blue of white season according to the pocket of the customer then when visiting there resorts in off season they give some good proposals for upgradation of your season so that u can make the booking for the time you want that is season time like summer holidays and winter holidays. But next time when you are willing to make a holiday then you come to know that still you did not get the desired holiday destination on the desired time because they did not get many studio apartments as compared to membership they sale.


Now when you will go to any of the resorts in the off season then they will  explain you very good plan in emi's because they did not get many studio appartments and you can have the desired booking in the desired time.


But the reality is that these people sale membership and invest there money in buying new property. And for regular income they leave some percentage of rooms for RCI membership for there certification and regular income and then they leave some percentage of rooms for public rentals that is member s who have given them money in advance will not get the room if they try 15 days before and being ordinary person you  pay them and can get the room only a week before. Now what is left will be offered to there so called priority members of club mahindra . now if you have taken red season they also you will not get the desired booking. These people assure you that if you are a member of red season one bed room apartment then you will get the booking 15 days before only but this is also not true . You have to book online six months in advance then also you have no gurantee for the desired destination at desired period. SO THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS THAT GO FOR THERE HOTELS BUT DONT EVEN DREAM OF GETTING THERE MEMBERSHIP .


ADVANTAGE OF NOT TAKING THERE MEMBERSHIP;


you can plan 15 days before and get there hospitality. now about the finacial aspect you spend about 500000 lacs in there membership and also pay annual mentainance fees which keeps on increasing every year. the bank interest rate in 10% so if u deposite the amount in bank u get Rs 50000 per year for spending on your holiday through which you can go to those places also where club mahindra does not operate. More over club mahindra did not provide free food or traveling expences that is in other places also you have to pay for food and traveeling. So spending money on there membership is only useful to club mahindra not its members.


AND STILL ANYBODY LOVES TO HAVE THERE MEMBERSHIP WE PRAY TO GOD FOR HIS SUFFERING AFTER THAT.

It is found that All Timeshares Club Are now cheating to their members.When you ask for a holiday. They ask the date , you want to travel. After few days they revart back , the dates are not available or the resort is fully booked.If you Ask for 1 year before , till they inform that it will not possible now , they will get back to you .Then a phone call will come and make an apology that booking is not possible. Actually they have so much of members , it is not possible for them to allocate the resorts.


Now the time , please don't attend their presentation and don't get cheated.This happens with all clubs and timeshares.Please be aware.Don't pay anything .Don't sign any agreement paper on which you disagree.They even don't receive your call. All Class transfer to interactive voices and after that the voice will tell that all the executives are busy, please call latter.Please before taking any timeshare , read the reviews and then proceed.I have also cheated after seeing the review but I don't want the other should be in trouble.

I am red season member of club mahindra since one year, during this period I made mixed opinion about this product. First negative things-a) poor salesmanship-since times- In India the shopkeeper sales


Their things by false promises, no body to check customer situation same for this, club mahindra guy will give you false promises, hide the catch points of product like during my membership he told me I can avail one higher season, but hide the catch point that I can book higher season only 15 days prior. It is quite difficult to get booking in higher season(popular holidays) just 15 days prior. Like this so many more. Second -difficult booking -club mahindra have around 1 laces members. 7 nights for each member in a year means 7 lacs nights per year. Still they have booking for nonmembers & corporate.


Other side they have only 700 rooms if they book all rooms for 365 days means they have only 255550 nights per year(one third of requirement). So most of members crying for booking , at last few members stops paying annual subscription fees (due to not getting booking ) then club cancel the membership & swallow full membership fees according to dangerous term & conditions of club. Third you can cancel membership within 10 days but you cant find these flaws of club within 10 days so you become trapped. Not a single governing body can save you (that’s why I told you in India no body to check customer situation).forth.


They are charging heavily, like I paid 3.5 lacs as a membership fees, if any body keep this amount in any bank & calculate only 0.8% interest it comes around 35 thousand rupees +they take ASF which increases every year, this year it is around 8000/- means I am paying 43000 +base value per year for only 7 nights means around 6 to 8 thousand per night . Other side most of rooms of club don’t worth more than 3 to 4 thousand rupees, some even less.


Further they stopped booking in any of counted resort because most of resorts are associated property of club mahindra not their own. At the time of membership, they would show you that they have more then 30 property, you might like some of destinations of them & you sign the membership after seeing these location, but they can stop booking any of these associate property without any prior information. Now positive things a) senior officer are prompt in solving your problems except booking b) they are very sweet in talking c) resorts are good, services are world class

All members of club mahindra are having problems in getting reservation , Now I find one new problem . I used to get mails from club about their newly added resort & new services by which they can extract money from customer. But they never inform in advance about  resort & service for which they discontinue their services,


I become member of club mahindra last year & I was informed about their resorts, auli was one of them. I had dream  to go auli & it was one of excitements during joining the club but club is club , it is supreme. Booking of auli suddenly stopped without any prior information. When I contacted to call center they  doesn't have any proper explanation, one of their executive told me that they have negative feedback about this resort , so they stopped it.(ha  ha).


I am finding on net, negative  feedback for all resort. are they are going to close the club.


Use of time share company

Me, my husband & few of our friends are lover of holdays making, we used to go to 2 to 3 time a year . We carefully chose the hot destinations. As a impact of enhusiatic advertisement & marketing of club mahindra we became trapped. &all of us become member of it, we chosen red studio apartment according to our requirement, &now we was thinking that all burden of reservation, would be go on club mahindra & we will experience happiest family holidays.


But now we are finding all burden became multiplied, they have more then one lakh members, still rooms available with club mahindra are less then 1000, still they are providing rooms to non members, foreigners


Definatively members become beggers for booking, after paying huge amount as a member ship fees.


Initially it was conveyed to us that they have more then 400 properties, but now I found they have only 13 own properties, few properties are not belong to them they are just associate properties. Still over all they have only 24 properties. I think it is hight of cheating.


Initially I was thinking cost of accommodation become cheap but it was not actual, I had paid 3.5 lakh as a membership fees the interest of this amount become around 35 thousand in a year, still it is not a end of story they are charging AMC which are around 8 thousand in a year, further AMC increases every year. Means I am paying around 6000/-per night for accommodation. Still I will not get back my amount 3.5 lakh back after finishing term(25 year)


Now about properties they are claiming Goa resort are one of the finest property in India & best of club mahindra. That is right it is best of club mahindra, but many other resorts even in goa are much-2 better then this & quite cheaper & providing much more facility as a complementary then this. Previously when we was not of members of club mahindra we was getting booking in just one click, & good discounts, facilities like pick-up, food etc in other resorts with quite a easy manner.now every thing become cumbersome we have to try booking in club in quite advance like 6 month before.


Still we used to get waiting no, then we have to call again & again for confirmation & most of time up to last we remained spared of booking & spoil our happiest holidays
