Led monitors are common choise now a days so if you planning to buy a led monitor just remember a few point

  1. Size is the most important thing if you are a gamer or have to do specific software part or need to split screen or multitasking a lot you need a bigger screen so according to your use choose your screen

2.brand and warranty warranty is importamt because repair charge is almost the same as new one so you need at least 3 year waranty

  1. See the colour specification and the dpi is the dpi is good enough the display will be more attractive

  2. Performance the led display shold accept the hdmi cable and should perform flawlessly

  3. Stand or wall hanging this is another important part according to your needs you have to select otherwise you need to buy accessories for hang your monitor later

  4. Power is the important thing of all be sure that it runs on a usb cable and draw less power not on a power cord and draws more power

Into Flat panel displays
Jan 23, 2016 12:05 PM

LED displays has been getting more and more popular starting an year back. These monitors were able to give solid clear display in very affordable price. Now even quad HD displays are started to be available in market. These are some tips for buying an LED displays.

1) Find out the purpose of the display, whether you need the screen for gaming, for computer or just as a tv.

2) Finding out the size of screen is the next thing. If you want a home tv, then it would be best if you buy one bigger than 32 inch.If you want it for a computer try 21 inch and if you are an addictive gamer I would suggest to buy a 27 inch monitor.

3) Resolution and aspect ratio. They define the clarity of the screen, You don't need to worry about the aspect ratio as most of the screen comes with a 16:9 ratio, If your pc is for designing purpose I would ask you to go for a 4:3 display.Resolution is the clarity or density of the image. If you don't want to know more just ask for full HD display or 1080p display.quad HD displays which are 4 times more better than full HD are available if you want to spend more on displays.

4) Viewing angles It is not a big factor on LED displays as they have a very good viewing angle, If you are to buy an LCD display it is very important factor. To ensure this try viewing the display from sides and find out whether it is viewable or not.

5)Connectivity It is another big factor. Most computer even now use VGA connectors HDMI connectivity is also must have as most new devices uses them.RGB is another that is not used currently as they lack clarity.Besides that there are usb connectivity for pendrives and harddisks. And if you are buying a smart LED display there will be also ports for LAN, USB dongle etc, .Make sure your display supports necessary options.

6) Make sure there are service center as well as warranty for you disply.

7) Last but not the least google the model to see your reviews of that product.

Look for HDMI support
Sep 24, 2015 03:49 PM

Vga is  just not enough.we have moved into times where your monitors  should be able to connect with laptops / intel nucs and mac minis / chromecasts / teewe 2  media streaming devices/ many other mini devices like android sticks and boxes, mini pcs etc   via hdmi port that can carry both audio and video signals, incase your  monitor has in built speakers  it will be great . Built-In speakers save  the hassles of  space and wires, really!

Though with Tewee 2  and Chromecast you may not get the sound output on most Monitors but you can use a separate hdmi audio extractor boxes that cost around 2700 I India .

Also remember the moment you move above 18.5 inches screen size its better you buy a full HD monitor only or else  the display might pixelate .

Ideally look for a Monitor  that has support for  both Vga / Hdmi and is a full HD screen ie resolution of 1920x 1080. Hd ready resolution of 1366 x768 pixel monitors are guilty of  jagged and fuzzy fonts .

You get very few monitors  that have inbuilt speakers  but if  you get one latch onto it, its great to use a chromecast or apple  Tv with  such monitors without having to buy a TV  and save some money .

Refresh rate is another consideration with all monitors and Tvs.choose one  with a higher refresh rate and low power consumption .Now most of the monitors can't be tilted but some of them can be, which is a bonus, some monitors like Tvs also come with wall mounts, how wonderful, really .

It goes without saying choose an led  with at least 3  years of warranty and not just 1, preferably on-site and not carry in .

Buying an hdmi / full HD monitor  will make it future proof and ensure a good resale value if  you have to ever sell it .

I also like to check the skin tones and color reproduction of  the monitor before I buy one . Some monitors  show poorly from angles, make sure to test-view  your monitor and check out the viewing angles .

Hidden feather touch buttons on  the monitor panel are less likely to go bad compared to mechanical physical buttons, keep  that in mind as well .

With the market being flooded with media streaming devices  like chromecasts, tewee, apple tv amazon Tv, roku, android sticks, etc, it wont be a bad  idea to buy a monitor with built -in speakers or simply use an led which is a tv-monitor hybrid.

Now For a LED Monitor There are mainly 2 categories
