It is the story revolving of love, emotions, cricket, business, politics etc.Abot the politics what it is said in this book is exactly what is happening in India.I really got emotional when omi (one of the character)dies , it is really heart touching.I really liked this book.

In my opinion it is a good book to go through and understanding the mistakes of our life.
This book really has a good way of representation of the teenage time. It will give a certain hint of business & earning traits in teenage. And also about love life.
Book is readable by students & late 20's.
It is written solely based on fiction but will give you the feel of Indian problem or activities which will stuck you to read.
As you are waiting for the first mistake it becomes more suspension what it could be but after the first mistake other mistakes will glow your mind with fear & that is what human are afraid of.

This is the first novel kind of book I've read. I fell in love with reading novels now. Story narration of friends and the girl is so well managed. I thought that I might get bored reading novels, but this book changed my thought. Good work sir #Chetan Bhagath.
The book was very good. I was interested in chetan bagath books. This book is very interesting to read. The characters omi, govind and Ish were awesome. Especially Ish was so nice. The book contains about friendship, trust, family, love, business etc. The character Ali was nice. It is mainly focusing on the dream of Ish to make Ali a great batsman. Some times you fell bored but the book was very nice and awesome. I recommend to read it once. Actually to say this is second book which I have read. I became a great fan of Chetan Bhagat. At last I loved the book. And the book is very interesting.
When I started to read this book on the advice of one of my relative because he told me that the book was about the students of my age, was excited as hell. But as i continued reading and pages turned, i felt as if the book was written for some movie director to make a movie on it and not for a number of book-readers. The three mistakes of the author's life is all that could be called as the content of the book while the whole story revolves around these mistakes which causes boredom after some reading time. The author has tried to make the story interesting by inclusion of a muslim boy caught up in riots but has failed ridiculously. Overall, i will not recommend this book to anyone in future. Buying and reading it is a waste of your money and time.

In short, in the book chetan bhagat says that, there came a letter in my office that says the writer of the letter had tried to sucide. Chetan bhagat went to the place of the person to Ahmedabad ( Gujarat) . Govind was the name of the prrson who told the story of this lifes three mistakes . Then the write wrote the book based on the real story. Based on the book there is film made called ki po chi. The book is very good read then to see the film . A very good novel. Basically this novel is all about mistakes which has done by three youngsters whose dreams were so big. The main hero in this novel is govind whose dream was to become a successful business man so he decide to join his two closed friends ish and Omi. All three friends open a small cricket shop. But then the turning point came when so many crisis happened in their life. Religion , earthquake, politics, and love push their friendship in downward spiral.
It is quite boring story where one who is reading the story waits for the first mistake. It is actually page number 105 when one's wait gets over. This book i.e the three mistakes of my life is a fictional, drama based story book which you have to relate it to reality. There are three friends who try to accomplish many things in their life but get stuck on wrong opportunities. It looks like a filmy story where ending is all well.
This is the ultimate book I have read in my entire life. Story line is awesome.Characters are well decoratively elaborated. Love story is so good. One of the finest books ever written, The Three Mistakes Of My Life is a story comprising "FRIENDSHIP, LOVE, CRICKET and RELIGION." It is superbly written by Chetan Bhagat also author of Half Girlfriend, 2States, etc.
The setting is the city, though urban but not metropolitian. It has protagonist Govind with his acumen for accounts. It has Ishaan with his keen interest in cricket. It has Omi, a loyal friend.The book is loosely based on the life accounts of these friends only.

One of India's most popular, brilliant contemporary writer Chetan Bhagat is the writer of this book named 3 mistakes of my life., who was played himself in this book.There is a real story behind this book.A Young boy named Govind from Ahemedabad wrote to chetan that he was going to commit suicide.Chetan rushed to the boy and put effort to manage the boy.The boy was saved and still alive.The boy explained Chetan his 3 mistakes in life for which he was going to do such an extreme step.Govind was living with his mother.He has 2 friends as well as business partners.The story is about the struggle of 3 friends.Their love, life and fight.Book is about a fictional story but lacking genuine fictions.The female characters in this novel is highly chauvinistic and degrading which was not expected from an IIT, iim graduate.some conversation between the protagonist which meant to be naughty turn out as vulgar.Later the story has India's 3 biggest national obsession that is religion, cricket and politics.Chetan represents himself as a script writer rather than a good author.I found several loop holes in the plot.Climax involved a violent fight.It narrates how the devastating naural calamity Earthquake shattered the 3 friends hopes and the Godhra issue that triggered the worst of riots, which shook Gujarat.It also described how a Muslim boy Ali, who was a talented cricketer was saved by 3 Hindu youths from a mob.The beauty of this book lies in simple, dramatic narrations.
3 Mistakes of My Life is a good book by Chetan Bhagat and this is a book about a person who dreams big up about his life and his 2 friends. So this is basically a story about 3 friends and one of them is the main one names Govind Patel. So first of all writing is an ordinary as we all know it's a Chetan Bhagat book and is known to be a common man's writing because of it's time to make the writing simple so that he could reach more and more people. The story is well written, it's around the real world event like Indian Australian cricket series 2002 and earthquake in Gujarat and riots. Story is in Ahmedabad in Gujarat and the plot is very good one thing I didn't understood who was only one of the three mistake was relevant mistake the other 2 were not that serious.
The good points about this book are the story is good, drama is good, plot is good and it simple for the readers believe it or not lots of people say that Chetan Bhagat doesn't know how to write, his writing is not good but it is the only reason people more and more come to read book. The twist in the story are very interesting and surprising and only bad thing I got in this book is that some of the logics are not well implemented so in my review I will give it to 2 out of 5 stars because writing is ordinary it's not so well written.
Three mistakes of my life .the book which I felt amazing in the beginning, I started reading the book casually without having any knowledge about its content.I read it for 10 minutes which lead me to read it continuously for next 10 hours in the class hours too .God .such addictive book it is .The grammar is not that hard it's easy and I always felt interesting while reading, the moral, content, story everything was fine and good but here comes the cons of such books.students are often the targeted ones for immediate diversion and the most easily spreading factors .This book binds the people like a magnet because of the things expressed so openly, even the title is so attractive. my opinion is this book does not enhance any creativity or improve grammar skills.it just entertains in a negative way for which students are more attracted.The book got famous in our school within no time not only positively but a type of different opinion is formed on you when people know you read the book.my sincere suggestion this book got famous in an expressible way just don't get to it .you will end up reading all chetan bhagat novels which are of no use.

The pricing of the book is just right for the target audience - young people. This book like Bhagat’s earlier one, “One night @ call centre, too has the masala, emotion and pace to turn into a potential blockbuster.
As this is a novel, its a one time read book. The story line is great and amazing. I like the way Chetan Bhagat creats the inner excitment in its reads that you just dont feel like stop reading. The story is bout three friends and the phases they go through in there lives. The only drawback about Chetan Bhagats novels is that the language is too simiple. There is nothing new to learn from his novels. Stories are grat but language is too simple and straight. I have almost read all his books and this one is best off all according to me. Thanks
