The secret wish List

I became a huge fan of preety Shenoy, after reading her book" Life is what you can make it"

This book also had an impact on me.

Well, the thing that is common among these books is the strong character of the girl which I reallllly liked.

Although it had a movie type ending where everything is sorted out at the end.

And the extramarital thing is quite not digestible. But the emotions of the girl after every terrifying situation and her response were pure and relatable. Love you, Diksha..

Opposite to indian culture

Those who begin the habit of reading books for them it suits regarding language (it is easy). About theme....... It is really a nasty story for people who praises Indian culture........ A women after sixteen years of married life with a child, goes out to live the remaining life with her first love......... After stating some silly reasons about her husband.... Before divorce itself she went stealthily for dating with her first love when her husband went to foreign regarding his office work and she left her son to her mother-in-law. I don't think it is revolutionary novel, instead it just misleading society.

A story related to almost 60%of Indian women

A story related to almost 60% of Indian women who suppress their dreams for their parents, husband , children and thinking about how society will react to it. The writer narrates the story so well , it really touched my heart. It is also so relatable for me with real flaws and everything . The cover page also makes trap for readers to read this book to the end .the writer didn't elaborate nature, social flaws and all-as an announcing technique the writer has given shallow incorporation to the scenes occurring over the long time. In the story, the young woman gets hitched at the age of 19 years and lives life at repeated pace till 34 years of age that includes 15 years of marriage. The book is contemporary in theme anyway leave in capacities readers as it leaves a starting significance quality on reader. The story is so true and relatable to me I really enjoy reading euch books

Thank you

The Secret Wish List Review

The subject and the stuff of the book are real flaws and everything. A married woman is melancholy in light of the way that the past she lived was stick squeezed with injustices; furthermore, her present companion is everything aside from conflicting in a more than one sense. Obviously, her life is on a throwing way, she needs her past back at any cost to manage the accounts of inadequate or mostly left needs. Subsequently, the present is reproaching her and there is a stunning tendency to come back to that life which gives off an impression of being as of now disengaged.

The Secret Wishlist by Preeti Shenoy is another ordinary story, exchanging off the recently referenced stuff. The cover page is adequately speaking to make perusers trap. Along these lines, condemning externally is completely bumbling for this book. No depiction of nature, social settings – as an announcing technique the writer has given shallow incorporation to scenes occurring over the long haul.

Fiction forming isn't so obvious the way Preeti has attempted, in case fictions are to be obvious, the intrigue of examining episodic stories should hold no regard and effect over perusers' favourable position.

In this book, the young woman(with reference to her past life) gets hitched at 19 years of age. By then, to state it logically grow way, at 34 years of age the character, Diksha, is growing again to proceed with her destiny.

The book is contemporary in theme, anyway incapacitates perusers as it has a negative plot and may leave a startling significant quality on its perusers. The story is incredible yet not excellent. Along these lines, it is an ordinary scrutinized. Scrutinize it for diversion, or relate it to any Bollywood movie.

IT WAS A WORTH READ!!

The "THE SECRET WISH LIST" has a decent ad spot and an appealing coat yet that is all there is in Preeti shenoy's most recent novel. What began promising anecdote about a lady arousing and attempting to remember her life transformed into an average Bollywood propelled inspired book. Mystery because at 16, the requesting unappreciative spouse, this novella appeared to be ideal from English Vinglish sans the french saint and the previous sweetheart. However that was affable, this is certainly not. All through the story as the courageous woman bantered on abandoning her better half or not, I pondered about at long last attempting to give shenoy one more possibility or not. Her last disaster "Tea for two."was horrendous and it was simply because of life is thing that you make it, that I chose to try this book out.

Despite the fact that "The Secret Wish List" had a specific freshness to it, it drained and wavered idea from the second part itself. The book has consistent stilted portrayal which can appear to be entirely adolescent and faltering in the event that you are an enthusiastic per users.

Over all the book can offer rest from all wannabe Indians Bridget story that Indian writer appears to compose nowadays. Unquestionably not Shenoy's ideal but rather certainly not the most exceedingly terrible. Would truly cherist it in the event that she could compose something that she truly felt and appropriate from the heart.

My take from the book I penned down my wish list thus it was justified regardless of perused.

When we see this book with the topic of The Secret Wish List is very interesting and we built an curiosity in our hearts. but the thing is this book is not like that what we expecting much this is not interesting when we read .

I have read nice books of Indian authors before days. My misfortune I got this book and began reading.  Despite the fact that book was hardly any fascinating in its begin.  I proceeded with my perusing admits my understanding I began feeling that essayist is not going anyplace. She attempted to depict who was great and given 15 years of her life to a marriage to make it effective.  Be that as it may even that character has come apart on the floor when she place herself in the bed of her previous sweetheart, soon after two minutes of her meeting and inside one page of story.I am not preservation's and I have a  view that everybody has emotions yet in a decent character sentiments are should be advanced with time and no such time was given by the author to the character.  It  felts that amid this 15 years she was sitting tight for the open door for that sex and utilized it when she discover the open door. After reading this I am certain that I am not going to read some other book of this author yet I am minimal hesitant to begin perusing other book bought by me on my central goal to peruse contemporary Indian novel.

My full review ! (very poor)

I have read this whole book and it was not upto the mark! This novel was exact replica of the novel named "Two for two and Piece of cake" .This story was highly predictable and ther narration was stereotyped.the most worst part I hate in this novel was the climax in this story. It included some mistakes like in chapter 13 for example there should be "Deeksha" instead of "Vibha" at two places. Now I think instead of reading this I would have seen an hindi dubbed telugu movie in Set Max channel where the fights and dances would have some means to entertain or worthy!

This story was about a teen girl "Deeksha" who was just 16 year of age and somehow she fell in love with a rich guy Ankit. Then it was two side and had a relationship in them secret. As per the plan they somehow got into school exbhition tour where they have to night stay for one day or long.the boy tells her to meet him school aditorium at night 12.30 after everyone has slept. She accompanies him and somehow mangaeg to get there.they when started to kiss a torch light flashes into their face.It was her brother(who also was in exbition and a greind of Ankit) her teachers, her friends. Her life changed after that that. She was shifted into another school.Gained a shame in society. And was doorcefully married at the age of 19 to another man.

After 18 long years .she realised her life was going waste. She was just serving her dumb husband who does not even have time to talk to her and her smart son who is just 5.She along wwith her cousin, her instructor and her former bf help her to attain all her wish which she former named as "the secret wish list" and she at last married to her former bf!

The secret wish list by Preeti Shenoy is a book of housewife and her wishes. The readability of this book is good enough to make it interesting while reading. This book covers the story of housewife Diksha, a 35 years old woman, stuck in a bad marriage because she committed a silly mistake when she was 16 years old. She kissed her a boy, Ankit, with whom she had fallen in love. This was caught by her parents and sent her to her aunt's place. They forced her to get married at 19. Diksha's husband is insensitive who believes in old principles and traditions. She thought mentally battered and bruished, stick to him because she doesn't have courage to live alone because of her nine years old son. But sudden twist in her cousin's life make Diksha to realize that life is too short. She wants to enjoy the things that give her happiness. She makes secret wish list that she wants to do and make it all come true. So this book has a good story.

You are controller of your life.

I have perused numerous great books of Indian authors.Because of my adversity, I obtained this book and started perusing. Notwithstanding the way that book was not really any intriguing in its start, I continued with my scrutinizing. In the midst of my understanding, I started feeling that writer is not going wherever. She endeavored to portray who was awesome and given 15 years of her life to a marriage to make it viable. In any case, even that character has fallen to pieces on the floor when she puts herself in the bed of her past sweetheart, not long after following two minutes of her meeting and inside one page of the story. I am not preservationist and I have a view that everyone has feelings yet in a not too bad character slants are ought to be progressed with time and no such time was given by the creator to the character. It felts that in the midst of this 15 years she was sitting tight for the open entryway for that sex and used it when she finds the open entryway. In the wake of perusing this I am sure that I am not going to peruse some other book of this writer yet I am insignificant reluctant to start examining other book purchased by me on my focal objective to scrutinize contemporary INDIAN novel.

Hi Readers, I mostly like to read romance books on my free times and leave holidays. I read more books, But I was heartly touched by this book. it tells about a true love really exist or is it just a cliche? Can a single kiss really change your life? Then I must tell about its readability. It has a simple understandable launguage. The Secret Wish List is a captivating, engrossing, racy tale about following your heart, chasing your dreams and the meaning of frienship.

This one from Preeti Shenoy is disappointing to say the least. The plot holds promise but the way it is handled is too cliched and even childish. It gets more predictable as the novel progresses. all the characters are either black or white, there seems to be no middle ground. The main protagonist comes across as a rather immature individual and the point of her early marriage and motherhood is repeated in almost all the chapters evidently to generate sumpathy. However, this gets anything except enroll for salsa classes after making a wigh list on the behest of a friend. This more like a Bolywood masala movie lacking any real depth. Pick it up only if you have too much time on hands.

This one from Preeti Shenoy is disillusioning without a doubt. The plot holds guarantee yet the way it is taken care of is excessively unoriginal and even adolescent. It gets more unsurprising as the novel advances.

Every one of the characters are either dark or white, there is by all accounts no center ground. The primary hero appears to be a somewhat juvenile individual and the purpose of her initial marriage and parenthood is rehashed in every one of the parts obviously to create sensitivity. Be that as it may, this gets just bothering as the novel advances. Things clearly fall set up for her, without her truly doing anything aside from select for Salsa classes in the wake of making a list of things to get on the command of a companion.

This is more similar to a Bollywood masala motion picture without any genuine profundity. Lift it up just in the event that you have an excess of time on hands

INSANE thoughts and stupid representation
Jan 03, 2017 05:34 PM 6061 Views

Everyone has a secret wishlist and the moment we have talk of wishlist we have plans for holidays, dream destinations, some crazy adventure activity, a new height, or just a materialistic thing. when we talk of secret it can be anything we don't share with everyone. I have a question here when it stated that her secret wishlist had sex with another man did she mean freedom with current man?

Sex with another man calls for a one night stand

and freedom from current one calls for an independent life with self respect.

But marrying your ex and leaving current is not independence or courageous.

She wasn't a bechari abla naari.

she was good with academics, trained dancer, a good looking and fit female she could have separated chosen career and moved on with just anyone or her ex. Justified. but how can you just say that your ex(of school times is still a nice guy). you haven't known each other for decades together. and you just trusted him with no stable bases of your own. really?

Hopeless way of fighting for self respect by losing it anywhere else.

And oops how can a school girl be so desperate to kiss a guy?

damn she is a young girl not a man addict.

Stupid and ugly representation of scenario.

Imagination is good but it always is unrealistic. so is this book.

A misguiding book for teenagers.

hope it helps.

Completed the process of understanding it inside 2 days. Generally a decent read. You'd have the capacity to identify with the character as individuals you run over sporadically or it can be one of your companions. There are men like Sandeep who exist and underestimate things and afterward there are ladies like Diksha who are truly terrified of their spouses. So terrified that they can't converse with them about their interests or things they'd jump at the chance to do. Society has set an example for a lady to live like this for whatever remains of their lives. Try not to think or do anything that fulfills you feel. Its unusual and notwithstanding discouraging yet then we are educated to alter so we do and acknowledge this is our destiny and put on a show to be content with what we have and after that life tosses a question asking things you don't have answers to. You have an existence, bear in mind to live for yourself. Its consummately fine to be egotistical and consider things that make you glad. Make a list of things to get and begin taking a shot at it since its your life. So need to compose a long audit yet require at some point for that. I may compose a blog entry on this one.
