RiteBite Women - something new
May 20, 2009 01:11 PM 2835 Views

I did my MBA in Canada, Orleans. Thats when I was introduced to the mixed food habit(Indian & western). Being a desi at heart, in my break at home I preferred to have home made food. I happened to stumble upon this unique range of nutrition bars at Lo-price near seven bunglows. I would have mistaken it to be a chocolate had I not known what a health bar is all about i.e. had I not travelled to atleast 2 different countries. There is where I think the company has not done its best to promote the product or educate the masses.

What caught my imagination was the Women bar. I mean I have seen different bars across the world but haven't seen anything thats so directly and exclusively marketed to women. Because it can put off the chauvinists you know. I picked up a bar to only discover it costs 25 bucks. Thats a quarter of a 100. Not so cheap for sure.

I read what the bar was about on its pack. Someone who has never had a nutrition bar in life would be mighty impressed with all the ga ga on the pack. If you have had bars before you would know they are full of boring health offerings. This one was no different. It claims to offer high calcium, high fiber, prebiotic properties, folic acid(good for women indeed), omega 3, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, . too many to believe. But then @ Rs.25 you had better expect it to be special.

The pack looked good though. I opened one. Must say good aroma. One bite in to it and I know its very different from some of the multi-grain and cereal bars available in UK & US. It tastes good as most of the bars abroad don't taste India. To my surprise t had some berries and nuts. The flavour read'Honey n nuts'. My thumbs up to the packaging, flavour, taste and whole experience of having it.

Whether you are a health freak or not I would generally recommend readers to try this bar once. And I am not talking only of women readers;) Rest, I would rather recommend the ritebite guys to either reduce the price or come up with a bigger pack that can make the daily consumption for a reasonable price.

RiteBite Sugarless - No sugar, Great taste

I found something unique at the In & Out outlet near Priya here in Delhi. I saw a row full of unique bars stacked near the health rack. These bars looked like chocolates. They had Sugarless, Women and Work-Out written on them. Sugarless bar was lying in 2 colours which means 2 different flavours. I would like to report my experience of each of them.

I tried Ritebite Sugarless Chocolite flavour. It tastes great. It tastes chocolaty and healthy. If you checked the ingredients there is no added sugar. Instead they have used healthy sugar substitutes to make it delicious. The portion size was 40g which was quite satisfying to even skip meal.

Then we tried Apple Cinnamon flavour which was also Sugarless. I didn't like it as much. My dad, brother and my girl friend liked it. So I guess majority wins. Both these flavours have attractive packing. They have similar benefits on the flipside which sound very impressive. I have listed them here.

Diabetic friendly* No added Sugar Low Calorie High Fiber(FOS) Prebiotic No Cholesterol No Transfat Vitamins, Minerals & Antioxidants

These bars cost INR 25. What more can you ask for?

Next I had a Women bar that I wanted my bhabhi to taste. Instead I gifted it to my girlfriend and she was very excited to see it. She liked the taste. I took a bite and it tasted great. It was some honey and nuts flavour but it tasted even better than the Sugarless bar that I had yesterday. Women bar sounds pretty unique and one may be tempted to know why it is called the women bar. I flipped the pack to know more about it and here are some benefits of the bar -

High Calcium High Fiber(FOS) Folic Acid Omega 3 Prebiotic No Cholesterol No Transfat Vitamins, Minerals & Antioxidants

This bar also costs Rs.25/- I highly reccomend these Ritebite products. I am yet to find some of the other ritebite products reviewed on this site. Also, I will write about the Work-Out bar once I try it.
