Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology is one of the oldest & best government college of Madhya Pradesh.

It is the top choice for all the engineering aspirants in state engineering entrance exams.

It is well renowned for it's academics as it has lot of senior professors with vast experience in their field having written many research papers, books. It has a beautiful campus with amenities like various sports grounds, arenas, courts, hostels, gymkhana. It offers lower fee structure than most engineering colleges & offer many scholarships, fee waivers for needy students.

It has many student run clubs in the field of technical, sports & cultural category & one can join & excel as per the choice.

They support students to participate in various national & international technical competitions & college grabbed top positions in most of these competitions.

Some weak points are like it has an old infrastructure, old set ups in labs, classroom not matching to the requirements of digital age & needs to be changed otherwise a good college to spent most crucial years of graduation & learning!

Till 12th you dream of some prestigious college like NIT, BITS, IISc and IIT. And at last you feel a bit dejected landing into a state college. Surprisingly this college was good to give me a way to a better future. The faculties are way too good( senior faculty specially) . The civil department have a strength of more than 10 phd faculties! mesmerized! This numbers you may not even get in some NITs. CS dept is good. You will have to compromise with the infrastructure bcoz its on contruction. You hace innovation centre. And labs are going good.Some positives.1) Its nearly a 36 acres campus in the heart of the city indore. You can go to some hotspots easily.2) then you have several clubs interacting with you.( FRIENDS IIT GIVES OPPORTUNITY.IN SGSITS YOU HAVE TO GRAB THEM) the opportunities are same, just learn to grab them.I am currently pursuing btech from here and in indore I share a good amount of respect when it comes to college but when you go outside the radius of 200km from indore.no one knows your 66 years old college. The harsh truth!

Its a kind of a so called, government colleges. Administration  are like government works, all work according to their wish. Their is no need for attendance in this college. the faculty is also not educated enough to teach students. They teach good in some of the Branch but they teach nothing in some other branch. The fresher party party was just for a name sake.

The collage have students just because it is government collage and nothing, and just they want a government degree form a collage. The alumni association met is held once in two years, that is also just for eating free dinner. The annual fest is held for two days in a  year, it consists of various short games, drama, plays and all, but very few students took part in it.
