I visited Satya for 2N/3D during Feb/Mar 2010 Holi time with my whole family- 7members with age range from 4-85yrs. Apart from the place being green, I could not help cribbing about the place.
Starting from -
a) No proper directions (took 30min extra to locate this place in broken katcha roads); one can easily pass the road missing the turn.
b) Old style rooms (didn't expect much at that price too); but filthy rooms, unclean linen and bathrooms were dampeners. Called room service to clean entire room again, changed linen, wiping and mopping, etc.
c) Lunch and dinners could not be more unhealthy and pathetic to taste. (Reminded me of those horrifying hostel mess lunches) in open-hot shed with plastic chairs.
d) Food was served on newspapers; house-fly on utensils; All this spoiled my stomach within a day. Despite complaints and assurance of 100% improvements, they could not live-up to more than 10-20% betterment.
e) Owner family has bungalow in same compound; eats in same mess - but with different food quality and variety; Strange to treat guests that differently!!
f) Nothing to do during the day, as it is scorching hot; decided to go to the pool - but water stinks, seems it wasn’t changed for last 2-3 months.
g) climbed up all the way ~600m with 4 yr old kid for the rain dance and the guys there asked us to go back to ask reception to switch it on.
h) Beautiful river close-by, but owners’ bungalow steals the view; and no way one could get closer to the water, unless you are too adventurous.
i) sports room - was just enough to fit the TT table (not cleaned for years), not enough to play though.
j) Only decent facility was availability to badminton rackets; but that also wasn’t provided, the 2nd day as shuttle was not available.
I do not wish to sound as an unmindful competitor trying to demolish their image; but I guess it was a waste of a holiday.
- Thank You! We appreciate your effort.
