Politics of Dancing: Volume One - Paul Van Dyk Reviews

Digital mesmerization

Update: I am writing on an off topic, am I?

Firstly I thank mouthshut for adding this topic for me :)

Warning: Trance music is too addictive!! You have been warned! It will be nice if you listen to this album while reading ;)

And I have no clues how to describe trance music for you!!!

Its a rainy day outside(I know its summer :p), and I just turn on my moozik system and pump the volume slightly... Slowly and steadily treble flows in your ears and with a blast of a punch the treble takes you away to a Discothèque.

I am listening to Paul Van Dyk's Politics of Dancing Volume I. For you people who dont know him ?! He's the world's number 2 DJ (was number 1 few years ago) at the moment. Special note for chics - He is a cool young(like me) German ;)

I will only cover up the CD1 of the 2cd album since I have been listening to it since about 3 years without getting bored!

OK ready?

Politics of Dancing is a dance album (name suggests it, nahi?).

Genre: Trance.

CD1 consists of 17 music tracks and its basically a trance-dance-fast-techno remix of various other artists and DJs too.

1. Digital Reason- Ashtrax

The album starts with this track and simply brain washes you in the first few seconds. (thats what I like about it) You are sure to groove into the music and start paying attention to each of the ''twist'' which PVD is giving you in the first track itself...

By the end of the track you are ready...

2. Innocence- Joker Jam

You never know the next track has started, lolz its non-stop music...

And this track simply starts punching you along initially and then altogether different notes of bass starts flowing all over the room.. By this time, I bet if your gals is not dancing with you!!

3. First- Private Taste

Ok this one is a bit bore cause it resets you and then the same usual fast beats stuff but you cannot move forward without listen to this one :)

4. Feeling Good- Jimpy

Yup, you really start feeling good when this reaches your ears.. Again this track washes your brain out again and again and again throughout the track... A sexy fast number.

5. Vega- Paul Van Dyk

Now this one is a PVD original(unremixed). Just listen to it and it says on its own! By the end of the track, this track sets your brain to go into a rapture.

Hey are your feet moving already while reading?

6. Another Late Thursday

Ok, this one, I find it a bore :p but great one to rest your feet, right? cause an awesome track is coming next. Basically you can call this a foundation for the next track.

7. Iio - Rapture (Tastes So Sweet)

Now this one is my favourite track (check my profile)

This track has https://lyrics. Of course its the remix of Iio's Rapture; but very very beautifully remixed. Paul van Dyk has put some sugar, spice, everything nice + chemical X and you get - {Come on, are you thinking about Powerpuff girls?} Rapture remix.

The lyrics are worth mentioning-

The night I laid my eyes on you

I felt everything around me move

Got nervous when you looked my way

But you knew all the words to say

And your love slowly moved right in

All this time, oh my love, where you been

Mi amore

Don't you know

My love I want you so

Sugar

You make my soul complete

Rapture tastes so sweet.......

Do listen to this track at least if not the whole album! The female's voice is just too magnetic and over that Paul van Dyk turns you crazy!! Ok, I'll kill you if you dont listen ;)

This track really shows what PVD can do!!

8. So Alive- Sippin Soma

In order that you don't miss the previous track, PVD keeps the bass punching (So that you don't get out of rapture you are in)

A good track to listen to! Its keeps you burning to dance!

9. Killin' Me- Timo Maas

Faster and faster and faster the music goes... Too much electronix music in this track. I need not mention again that you are being brain washed.. Dance bebe dance... :)

10. B.W.Y.- Maja Na Damu

I have no words to describe this one.. :D

11. Elevation- U2

Now this is a very very cool song and it starts with cool electronics music flowing in giving special appearance and electrical shocks :)

Simply cool track with music flowing up down, right left everywhere.. Music turns real hot at the end of the track!! and fades out to the next level.

All the rest of the tracks are fast numbers and now you got to listen to it ;)

12 Autumn- Paul Van Dyk

13 Cristalle- Viframa

14 Furthermost- Solicitus

15 Four Days- Subsky

16 Empire- Second Sun

17 Out There- Paul Van Dyk

Summary: What are you waiting for? If you are a trance lover, go get a copy and you'll praise me for the suggestion ;)

Why not! This is one of Paul Van Dyke's master pieces.. Thanks for reading and getting bored :D I know not many like trance and worse reading its description like above :D I can understand your ''Not Useful'' rating...

Anand signing out. Rock on!!

p.s. Can I mark my own review V.V. useful?? ;)
