Ajay-Atul are quite good working with specific needs. Be it Singham's title track which did create a perfect atmosphere(I don't think it's easy to create music that is thrilling and yet catchy), or Agneepath's Shamsheer song. After giving Marathi touch to songs when needed, they this time create a Rajasthani feel to Tharki Chhokro, and boy, how it comes. Plus, Swanand Kirkire's lyrics give just enough of a Rajasthani touch to the lyrics, and there goes the fun song. Nicey nice.

Pk:A imaginary thought, how Aliens React to US
Dec 14, 2016 08:40 PM 2768 Views

The Movie PK is one of my favourite movies. A INSINUATION, a THOUGHT, an ILLUSION and much more about this movie makes it one of the greatest movies from Bollywood.

In this movie, Aamir khan as pk is playing too good. Most of the population in INDIA have many Dogma or Blind faith related to GOD and

religion. I think that to bring the change in the beliefs of such people, this movie is the best visual example ever. Also,

in this movie, pk gives a clear message to all the viewers that we should not depend very much on GOD for everything.

We should be confident and independent from anybody to our work. SONGS of pk are too good. The song " Bhagwaan hai khan re tu" is very much close

to my heart. Other songs " Aayo tharaki chokoro aayo re " " bheegi bheegi " " chaar kadam bs chaar kadam" are too good. AND the song like " Bhagwaan hai khan re tu" gives a very good message. I like IT. " GGGGG" " RRRRR" "EEEEE" "AAAAA" "TTTTT".

Awsome songs

Chaar Kadam is Shantanu Moitra calling on Shantanu Mukherjee, or sadda Shaan, as usual. It's a regular kind love song where the hero talks about the sun and the moon and the regular promises to the girl. Simple and nice, though the slight disappointment for me was that the music of the song seems to be a recreation of Moitra's old zara gunguna lein chalo in a few parts. So I'd say it was not as fresh I had expected.

Love is a waste of time sounds like a regular Moitra tune too, but this one is kinda fun, especially with the interesting lyrics and the added Eastern flavor in the singing. Sonu Nigam certainly is the best person for such fun outings, and he does it with all seriousness. There is no bheist of time here, I say.

The next, Bhagwaan, a Sonu Nigam solo, is probably the best of the album. The song brings together the team that made Jaane Nahi Denge Tujhe and certainly has crumbs of music from the 3 Idiots song in this one, but the subject of the song, the lyrics, and Sonu Nigam's touching singing is what make the song wonderful anyway. Not the freshest of the lot, but intense and I'd say honest still. Do not miss this one.

PK Dance Theme that appears next is a simple small theme which you probably have heard already in trailers etc. Reminds me of Barfi theme, though nothing too similar to it.

The last song of the album though, is a surprise. After beginning with Ajay-Atul and listening to Shanatnu Moitra, we turn to Ankit Tiwari with Dil Darbadar and it sounds like it's some different album, maybe a different world altogether, at least in music. In lyrics though, there seems some consistency in the quality and style. Believe it's Swanand only who has reused his dil darbadar phrase from Yeh Saali Zindagi.

As such the song is quite good, and though it doesn't seem as catchy as his Sun Raha Hai Na tu or Galiyaan, the quality of music and lyrics is good and would ensure the song lasts long, especially because it seems that the song would be closely associated to the movie's story.

Overall, PK, like previous Hirani-Moitra-Kirkire albums, has its share of fun and drama. There is some reuse and recycle at work, but mostly freshness remains there in the album. Reduce, though, is kept only for remixes, as otherwise two new composers have been added, and while Ajay-Atul have fit the bill perfectly, Ankit Tiwari may need to blend his music a little more, so while he can bring something different to such movies, he shouldn't look out of place at the same time.

If you thought PK in some corners had shades of Rancho, well, this Nanga Punga Dost sung by Shreya in a fun way might strenghthen your beliefs. But as such, it's a simple, light song with fun lyrics, something Swanand has become an expert at. Remember Barfi title? Swanand is king of fun introduction lyrics, I tell you.

PK – A musically extravagant album!
Jan 04, 2015 01:58 AM 5607 Views

Rajkumar Hirani’s much-awaited movie PK starring Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani released on 19th December and it has managed to stay in the controversy for various reasons. So I went to watch this movie and when I sat to pen down a review, I realised the internet is flooded with reviews and there’s an on-going fight among the lovers and the haters of this masterpiece. Well, I am surely a lover but I won’t get into the movie storyline and performances but the music that took my heart. The songs and the music are crafted keeping everything in mind from lyrics to music to scenery to dance and storyline. Below listed are the songs and my views about each of them.

Tharki Chokro

This folksy Rajasthani number sung by Swaroop Khan is a fun song with quite interesting https://lyrics. The music is desi still very buoyant. The lyricist, Swanand Kirkire has done a great job. However, I would say the highlight of the song is the voice lended by Swaroop. The song is for you to listen and groove to its music. The video is superb and amusing and Sanjay Dutt with Aamir Khan is certainly a treat to watch.

Chaar Kadam

Sung by Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal, ‘Chaar Kadam’ is a romantic and heart warming song. The beautiful lyrics add to the simplicity of the song making it peaceful to hear. However, it is a bit different from the usual romantic numbers and I am sure you will love this song.

Love Is A Waste Of Time

Composed by my all-time favourite Shantanu Moitra, this song has peppy tunes that can make you groove. Sonu Nigam and Shreya Goshal have done a fab job while singing the English lyric in a typical Bhojpuri accent. If you are looking for a quirky Bollywood number, then this is not the song for you, as it is more of a story than song. I personally liked it and would recommend to hear it atleast once.

Nanga Punga Dost

My most favourite song of all because it is simple and a cute song with fun https://lyrics. The song may not be liked by everyone but it fits perfect into the storyline. It gives you a ‘Friendly’ feel and the phrase ‘Nanga Punga Dost’ is wisely chosen to get the required tinge of humor. I give a thumbs up to this song.

Dil Darbadar

This song is a treat to listen as it is composed and sung by the very talented Ankit Tiwari. No doubt that audience are bound to love and appreciate his work. The music is also composed by Ankit and you get a feeling of listening to Teri Galliyan. No matter what, Ankit has done full justice to the song.

Bhagwaan Hai Kahan Re Tu

This is a unique track and stands out of all the other songs. It is an emotional song with meaningful lyrics and music soothing to ears. Sonu Nigam incorporates his own charm and makes one fall in love with the song. The lyrics are carved soulfully striking a chord on an emotional level.

PK Dance Theme

This is an instrumental piece of music and it is as colourful as our ‘Aamir’ in the movie. The variation in the music makes this theme worth hearing.

Overall, the composers, lyricist, singers have all done a great job and completely justify their role. The final album is a varied one that is enjoyable enough to stand out. Though some of their previous work have been revived, freshness still remains that has its share of joy and drama.

PK banaya music
Dec 20, 2014 06:38 PM 6906 Views

First up, Although Rajkumar Hirani, is a master of making the best Hindi films, however he lacks a lot of musical sense.

Right from his first movie, Munnabhai M.B.B.S to pk, the music has always been average. However, all his previous movies, had better music, with Munnabhai M.B.B.S having the best one, the class of music in his film has deteriorated completely.

There are 6 songs in the album, and one pk instrumental theme. The only good song, which can be liked, is Dil Dilbar but, if its a good song, and in this movie, then guess what? it's not by Shantanu Moitra, it's by Ankit Tiwari.

Just like, munnabhai had Anu Maliks music, which had few likeable numbers. Chaar Kadam, is just about average song. But the best one amongst the ones shelled out by composer Shantanu Moitra.

Come on, you cannot keep giving us the same kind of songs in every damn movie and term it as "melodious", and expect people to like it.

It worked with Give me some sunshine in 3 Idiots, but it failed more than often.

If there is a song tinga tinga nanga punga in your repertoire, then I'd better keep my mouth shut. If the lyrics ain't irritating, then the same monotonous music is.

With, Love is a waste of time, Mr. Moitra is trying to repeat Give me some sunshine all over again, by making the phonteics of the words resemble to his All izz Well from 3 Idiots again. Seriously, Mr. Moitra, you gotta be kidding! or not?

This answers why you are not signed by any other film maker except Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

The albums similar to such a crappy album are, Lage Raho Munnabhai, 3 Idiots, and that too, the same tune, mixed and matched here and there, and termed as "situational melody". That's utter bull cr@p. Come

On Mr. Hirani, sign some other composer, and take a leaf out of the Bhatt's book. If you'll keep on signing, Mr. Moitra, his weak music, is over shadowed by your cinematic brilliance.

Don't Sign Mr. Moitra, yeh PK music banata hai
