Patel Scope - Dewang Patel Reviews

Its Very entertaining

His album of copycat songs, replicate with lyrics that talk of the human anatomy is very funny. I enjoyed it a lot. I hope many such singers would come up with such parody songs. Its a very good timepass. Not everyone can take the parody songs positively. Most of his songs are very funny.

Taal pe baal gira and dus are some of the funny songs. I am lazy writing 400 characters. So I am wring all crap here. Hope this completes 400 characters limit.

The nerve of the man to come up with a third album of copycat songs, replete with lyrics that talk of the human anatomy. He speaks of a broken hip and what not, in a tune borrowed from Shakira. Really, it is a pain and we have it. He is a pain in the neck what with those songs plaguing the music channels.

The album lacks originality, in its lyrics and tunes and can put even Eminem to shame with its lewd content (at least Eminem is original and his music videos are funny). Dewang Patel justifies his copycat tendencies by saying “Nakal mein bhi akal honi chahiye”, (Even spoofs should be intelligent). Tra la la la la! This guy is immensely talented, I will buy. Songs like the ‘baal uga’ one lifted from ‘taal se taal mila’ are funny but others fill you with revulsion. Instead of slogging his life in writing lyrics to fit in tunes made by geniuses, he should make an album worth a buyer’s money because his voice is good. I have heard his songs of an earlier, original album ('meri marzi','ghar kyun aaya kayar'etc songs )that was really good, good enough to give you permanent laugh lines. C’mon guys, if it is fun you are looking out for, there are many other ways than increasing the lines on this guy’s music sales graph.

Making money out of parodies and, to a large extent, from remixes is a shameful thing and you can’t give such acts respectability by saying that remixes and parodies bring the originals back in demand. Though much of it is true, the classics don’t need to be indebted to the Ballys and Dewangs for making themselves popular. They have seen their golden days. And as for foreign composers, wait till they hear of the mutation.

Sorry but this isn't quality stuff

Hello folks,

Sorry if you are a Patel Fan, but this kind of music isn't quality music. That's what I feel. Good music fans would never go in for some cheap imitations as this one.

Just look into the album, right from the lyrics of the music to the album's video. Everything looks silly. In fact when one is talking about quality music, this album shall no where stand in there.

The only thing that I would suggest for like minded people like me are to make sure that you don't buy this cassette, so that by the poor sales of such cassettes other hopeful ''Patels'' won't come up with such stupid ideas of remixing.
