One of the best engineering college !!
Mar 27, 2021 02:26 PM 1403 Views

NMIT is a very good engineering college if I need to rate on the basic amenities i.e. the campus hostel, mess food, gym, sports, etc. it would be 4.5/5. As for the faculty, professional exposure, library facilities, etc, my experience has been very good, I have always got the guidance, support, and exposure required for the academic as well as industry-related knowledge. Even during the placements period, the placement cell took special efforts to train and teach us the interview taking techniques, presentations and personal counseling. I had a great time at NMIT!

I will always be indebted to my faculty at NMIT for the support and guidance that I have got throughout my years at NMIT. I had options of other colleges during my counseling, I had chosen NMIT after considering various nominal factors and references.I can definitely say that it was the right choice. My experience at NMIT has been great. The faculty, the facilities, and placement support have good quality.

A huge and beautiful campus and exciting learning

NMIT is a great college; they have a huge campus that hosts the Engineering college as well as other colleges. The hostel, library, gym and canteen facilities maintain good quality standards. The faculty is good and supportive. Opportunities for innovative projects as well and Placement is good and the placement team trains and supports the students during the process. Many core companies visit the campus for all the departments. Anaadyantha our college fest is too good as multiple events are conducted, many students across Bangalore participate, celebrities are invited and the environment is electrifying! Overall NMIT is very good college…

The best decision I ever took in my life!!
Mar 18, 2020 04:10 PM 2093 Views

The best decision I ever took in my life was to join the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore. The college offers a wide arena of courses to choose from.NMIT encourages its students to take part in activities that contribute to the overall development of the student. They have a brilliant infrastructure to enhance and promote sports-related activities. The companies that come here for placements are well established which includes Tech Mahindra, Microsoft, Infosys, L&T Infotech, Capgemini, etc. I studied MCA in this college and the faculty was very helpful. Some of the staff in this department hold a Ph.D. degree. Every year the department organizes emerging new fields of research in Information communication and applications, computing. The placement desk plays a prominent role in applying every student’s theoretical knowledge to practical experience. Various departments organize guest lectures so that students get an insight into industry-related domains.

It's a huge college. In fact u will actually get confused with the huge campus. Basically it is not rated as top most clgg. But it is a decent cllg for engineering.and it is a autonomous cllg

My rating for cllg-

Campus-9/10

Coaching-6/10

Placement -7/10( some companies only hire in this cllg.many companies won't even come so be careful before u select

Thank u

Nitte is an autonomous college. It's a good college to complete your degree. This college is far away from the city that it feel like it is a Forrest. There is no proper bus facility to come to this college accepted the college buses. Academic are not bad. Administration take a lot of money in the name of parking fee and some other kind of fee. They also don't maintain the ATM properly, when ever you go to get the money from that ATM you will always see No cash sign there. Canteen is also not bad. And library, they have only one room for library while other colleges are having a separate block for library. I don't know what will they do with all that money they get. And another thing if u pay any extra money by mistake, they will not return that Money, if u ask them they give some reason and shut you up. Some teachers do their job well, but some are there who doesn't work properly, they are just not fit for teaching profession. This college need to improve alot.

I have done my masters in nitte meenakshi institute of technology where it has a lavish campus with peaceful environment.

It was great doing my masters with excel experts in the concern specialisations. The faculty are very friendly, treated us as professionals as we are into masters. The campus of nmit is very peaceful covered with greenery around the campus has an ample space to do events. The campus has a very big ground, bbc court, canteen, food courts, monkey part, auditoriums and volley ball courts. This is the college were encourages for sports, events and competitions in fests.

easy to reach till the main road, preferably should have own vehicle or paying for the college fees. the parking will not be free, should pay fees for that.

They have equipped with all new technology all the labs are fully equipped with latest software and with high technology.

Good

A good college one can try
Sep 13, 2016 02:55 PM 7865 Views (via Android App)

Hi I am Sumeet here and I have done BE in Mechanical engg in this college during 2009-2013

It is a great college with good staff and lectures, some lectures are fresher so they might not teach you well but some of them have great knowledge and also make you understand all the concept well! As it is autonomous institute there is slight difference in syllabus with VTU and also exam pattern or question paper will be different apart from that all are nearly equal to VTU.

Good things are friendly lectures and non teaching staff great lab facilities and also pleasant location where there is pin drop silence which is required for any college.

Bad things are no wi-fi, no BMTC buses to the college you have to depend upon college transport which is costly! If travelling is not an issue you can try with this college!

NMIT Temple of knowledge

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology(NMIT) is about 3 kms off the Bangalore International Airport Road close to the Yelahanka Airforce Base in the Northern extremes of Bangalore. The location of the college is very remote and peacefull. The Nitte Meenakshi campus is vast and exactly as you would expect a college in such far-off region to have. The campus is shared by the Engineering College, the MBA & PGDM departments and the First-Grade College. Academically, the infrastructure is unexceptional and mediocre; roomy classrooms, well-ventilated labs and a library which just sufficeStudents claim that the newly started departments like Civil are pathetic while Mechanical, EEE & ECEs.it have a well experiaced lectures. The Engineering college Festival “Anaadyanta” which is an inter college cultural festival happens sometime in March every yearPlacements are magnificent for the CS & IS departments, while Mechanical students are left out due to lack of core companies visiting the campus. Only 10% of the students get placed on campus from the Mechanical department, whereas EEE, CS & IS record above 70% placements

Just imagine u had to 5000 bugs to just park ur bike in the college, yes it really hurts, this is what happening in this college everywhere u have pay bugs to get the things done and sorted besides that the college is so isolated that even a massive earthquake in Bangalore wouldn't effect single Crack in NITTE.

You know what I mean yes it sucks to be in such a college.  HONESTLY

Aug 24, 2015 06:47 AM 11831 Views

I recommend this department for students planning to pursue PG Degree in CSE and are interested in areas of research including big data, robotics, image processing.

The department has multiple funded projects that gives an opportunity for students to work on cross functional projects. The research team is helpful in getting you acclimated to the environment. Good learning opportunities for any students interested in research.

Academics are given equal importance. The department organized seminars, workshops on latest technologies provide a good learning opportunities for students. Campus is beautiful and has calm ambience. College transportation is good.

*I pursued my masters in computer science and engineering from this college the ambiance and the environment is really calm and peaceful out of the city!

Coming to the departments the PG course is very good it has good infrastructure and teaching faculties who are well capable to handle the subjects!

The HOD is good and provides a lot of exposure to real time projects and there a lot of training programs given to students before any projects the guidance given in this department is very good! Lot many workshops are conducting by this dept of m tech  CSE which is a added advantage  *

One of the good college
Aug 06, 2015 10:01 PM 12140 Views

One of the good college under COMMEDK. Approved by AICTE and affiliated by VTU. Its among the top 20 engineering colleges in bangalore.

If you are willing to take CSE as your branch then Its  your cake of piece. Its near yelahanka and nearby places around the college is good.

Please dont take mechanical in this college. Its situated somewhat interior from the main college. Ambience hotel is near this college only. Its affordable and not that pricey. you can take that college.
