My dad got admitted twice within 3 months the first time itself they showed how careless the nurses and administration staff are.
For the second time as my dad asked to show to the same doctors we went their. Hell with those careless bunch of nurses and admins. The nursing head malathi and supervisor some Christina with the pathetic administration staff have just made us wait us for one and half days to discharge. the nursing was equally lazy as well as arrogant, they get annoyed if we ask them to change the drips or other things, they are like government officers who dont like to be asked to do anything.
Doctor said we can get discharged in the noon approximately 12:30pm then I had communicated to them regarding the same as first time they took almost a day to discharge. They said Ok the processes to billing will be done. I waited for them till 5:30 pm and approached then they said they have sent it to concerned department & insurance. I got suspicious and downloaded medbuddy mobile application and saw that they havent sent the required documents to process. I contacted the helpline of nhmysore and their one guy said it will be done and asked for time it went on for like till 7pm and they said the doctor is not available now. the best part is I contacted the PRO their and he asked to go to billing and billing people say they haven't received records to process. PRO requested and said they have to wait for that night and the next morning things will be done and you wont be charged for this delayed extra day. next morning he did not even receive the call and started the same old drama. I finally got the call from billing at around 3pm the next day can you imagine. and the billing department has charged that extra one day with medicals(totalling around 5000 per day extra). I contacted that PRO and he said he will send their accountant and again made me waiting in billing for another 45 minutes finally he did not come saying he has important meeting and called me via mobile. They said they cant waive off the nursing and had to pay minimum 3500 nursing and bed charges of around one thousand was reduced.
the important thing is they are charging innumerable things which they haven't provided medical & non-medical expenses, they are charging exorbitant prices as it was insurance and even taking money of non-medical expenses like thermometer(which they have used one and said we will not use new one so they could return and we may not have to pay) and other but have taken more than MRP price 300 for thermometer which we had to pay via our cash.
these are not for public service they are only for maximising profits on the cost of the patients. the patient next to our bed was hospitalized because of slipping near hospital arena which the hospital staff even the ambulance area knows but haven't bothered to correct it as they made around 1.5-2 lakhs from that Kodagu patient. the hospital has not made it safe yet even after repeated complaints in the lure to make money even from that.
If I can review their services into three catergory into billing charges, nursing quality, administration hospitality & efficiency they are easily comparable to Government hospital(but with comparatively better infrastructure).
BEWARE of this hospital in Mysore, they are here only to make money and don't give a damn about patient.
