Jammu university affiliated college Miet not good for every students it located in a deep mackyard place not good for everyone and also not useful for every one when we see the college and take students feedback student weeped in front of me due to more backlocks on its according to syllabuz and papers

Model Institute of Engineering And Technology popularly known as MIET Jammu. Its one of the finest Engineering In the north India. And probably the Best in the State.Placement have been the major concern these days so I would suggest you to Try it out. Its not that bad in placements. Students usually gets job right after the Last year of their programme/Course. Last year they placed almost all allcleared students with an incentive of 25000INR. They had some multinational companies as their partners like Google, capgemini etc So if you are getting an opportunity to be there grab it with both hands. Nice Institution on the whole! Good Luck

I have personal experience to share this information that MIET college is awesome college in Jammu .

I am also studying in this college now. I have Information Technology stream and it is best known for Computers Education.

Many Placements cells visit to its campus and provides placements to the students in good Companies and at good salary.

Miet is good for studies... People study there hard to clear university exam. some would prefer tutions also to meet university exam, .. but faculty over there like sudesh sir and amit bhat.. they will make money from tutions.. management should expel these kind of teachers over there.. rest things are just as in normal engineering college, . Payment is decent when I did , because I had free seat.

Yesterday only I came to know of a case from a friend of mine which is very scary. One of his friends was traveling to UK via Dubai . Unfortunately he was carrying a packet of Khas Khas which is a commonly used spice in some Indian curries and sweets. Khas Khas is also known as poppy seed which can be sprouted to grow narcotics (afeem etc.).

This innocent person did not know that recently the laws in UAE and other Gulf countries have been revised and carrying Khas Khas is punishable with minimum 20 years of imprisonment or even worse with death penalty. Currently, the person is in a jail in Dubai for the last two weeks. His friends are frantically trying hard for his release but are finding that this has become a very very serious case. Lawyers are asking huge fees amounting to AED 100, 000 even to appear in the court to plead for his innocence.

Please forward this email to all you know specially in India. They should know the seriousness of this matter and should never ever carry even minutest quantities of the following items when traveling to Gulf countries:

1. Khas Khas whether raw, roasted or cooked.

   
   




2. Paan

   
   




3. Beetle nut (supari and its products, e.g. Paan Parag etc.)

   
   

The penalties are very severe and it could destroy the life of an innocent person.
