Madhuban is one of the biggest part of my childhood and adolescent memories. I have seen the menus changing and evolving, the remodelling of the restaurant, heard all the controversies. But it is a place where every Rourkelite has come at least 10 times in their life.
The food served here is one of the best in this town. Although, I personally feel that the quality of food has lowered a little over the years, but they still try to maintain it. The Chhole Bature, Chicken and Veg Noodles, Babycorn Chilli and Rasmalai, are some of my favourites(highly recommended).
The Ambience is very nice and friendly. The restaurant is a perfect place for some get-togethers with friends and family, with a classic updo. The open restaurant also gives a very earthy feeling due to the trees and plants around. There is a separate section for ice-creams, which makes it more convenient for people who have gone there just for the multiple varieties of ice cream.
The customer service could improve, as the manpower there is pretty old. Although some are known faces, but they aren't as friendly and patient as they should be. This place is in serious need of some improvement in this area.
Overall, Madhuban is a good experience with value of money. You won't regret a small reunion with friends, or dinner with family.
