Hotel Picnic, Velankanni

Worst management with no ethics.

Advance booking was denied, since we requested for check-in before 6 am.This was because of our train(Kochuveli-Karaikkal) weekly special arriving at Nagapattinam around 02.30 am.In fact, we used to stay here regularly during our visits to Velankanni.We received a reply mail stating that reservation not possible at midnight.

Being into service industry, at least guests shoud be able to check-in at any point of time subject to arrival.

One of the values of Indians is devotion to the God. Many of us believe in god, and his miracle power. We look at god, when we do good, when we suffer and take a oath to do a pilgrimage in the honour of God.

One of the most popular shrines in India is the lady of good health located at Velankanni of nagapatnam district of Tamil Nadu. The church is famous for the miracles and people from all faith visit.

Near by the shrine, one can find hotels and boardings.

Hotel Picinic is located just behind the Morning Star church and walking distance to the basilica. The hotel has 24 hrs hot and cold water facilitate. The staff is found to be customer centric and caring. The rooms are specious and good illuminations. Food is served at the room from a kerala hotel. The hotel has provision for both AC and NON-AC rooms and costs from 750 to 2000/- based on the season.
