If There would have been an option of negative scoring, I wud have loved to do that.
Anyways, there is a saying " IF YOU SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO A FAILING SCHOOL(unless you have no choice), YOU ARE A BAD PARENT". and I am extremely sad that I sent my ward to this school but writing this review for the parents who considering Good Shepherd for their child.
It seems to me that if every single parent check about in and out of the school and voice out if anything you see not correct such schools would improve. This would not happen immediately. It could ofcourse lot of time/years to bring the change. Some children might not get exactly what we look for in the meantime, but it will be worth it, for the eventual common good for upcoming batches.
Good Shepherd school advertises for their cameras, children security and all but let me tell you, my ward reached back home with severe hit on his nose and when asked his class teacher, administration, van driver no body knew what had happened, when asked for camera recording, they were clue less what to show!
Teachers: Good Shepherd Teachers are "JUST OK" types, for me, it was always a challenge to pass my message be in english, hindi any language because they dont understand the intent behind. In one year, they changed 3 teachers in class nursery. When children take time to adjust with one teacher and environment around, management of school doesnt even think twice before taking the decision. Reaching out to teacher out of school hrs is a mess must say, they dont pick up ur call, neither respond back on message.I came across Mrs Sabina in school- she is the only staff member who is sensible and take responsibility to revert
Activities & photographs: School show off as if they are putting lot of efforts through activities for children, but truth is they just pretend- Go and check out yourself! on name of activity, teachers prepare some standard background etc and one by one ask 4-5 children to come and get a picture click so that they publish on social media. Parents feel awesome luking their littles in those pics but the motto behind such activity gets vanished
Competition & Awards: Think they are more of "Inky Ponky" to decide the star of the month, because when asked criteria to choose one child as star in one month and he/she wont be star in any of the month in year.why? because he was made star once. OOPS!
I think just to come out of guilt, I really pulled out my son from school in last month of the year and I request all, don’t just acknowledge your inner consumer — listen to it. Pick the best fit for your child. Let other parents do the same. Everyone will be the better for it.
Good Shepherd management, last piece of advise to you - Try to be at Parent side and you will feel the pain,
- Thank You! We appreciate your effort.
