The only thing permanent in todays world is.... CHANGE. Well I did not change a college or skip a university, but I spent about 5 and a half years in the Goa Medical College at Bambolim, Goa.
To be very frank, I had a good time not only on the academic front, but also on the co-curricular front. The teaching part is well organized, the lecture halls are spacious, the labs are well equipped with the essentials and the teaching staff is quite competent.
The hospital side, what you may call clinics, are well conducted too. All that include extensive clinical examination and case presentations, besides, out here we get a lot of cases; basic and rare too!
The clinicians are approachable and have good demeanour towards undergraduates as well as the patients.
Recently with the cleanliness drive, the campus looks pretty bright.
Among the sports sections, we have indoor games like table tennis, chess and carrom( including pulling some healthy pranks in the hostel) and outdoor games like football, volleyball and cricket, basketball.... nearly all sorts of ball games.
Life out here is serene, free from all the hustle and bustle of city life, unlike the capital city which is about 5 km from the campus.
The famous Bambolim beach is just about 2km from the campus and this medical college happens to be the vertex of Margao, Vasco and Mapusa... main towns of Goa.
Great going.
