My stay at Fairfield by Marriott Hotel Dehradun on July 11, 2024, was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon checking out and retrieving my one week old car from the valet service the next day, I discovered a significant dent that had mysteriously appeared on the vehicle during its time in the hotel's care.
It became apparent that the valet service staff had been involved in a cover-up to prevent me from noticing the damage before leaving the premises. The driver even went as far as trying to hide the damaged side of the car from me, which is simply unacceptable behavior.
When I reached out to the hotel to address the issue, their response was shockingly unprofessional. Despite admitting that the car was hit by another guest, they refused to provide me with access to the surveillance video that would have clearly shown what had transpired. It was revealed that the individual responsible for the damage was allegedly a relative of the hotel owner, further complicating the situation.
To add insult to injury, the hotel only offered a partial reimbursement for the repair costs, leaving me to cover the remainder of the expenses. When I requested that they take responsibility for the incident and compensate me appropriately, they callously dismissed any liability, claiming that since their staff was not directly involved, they bore no responsibility for the damages.
This lack of accountability and transparency displayed by Fairfield by Marriott Hotel Dehradun is utterly disappointing. The way they handled this situation was nothing short of deceitful and unethical. I am appalled by their disregard for customer satisfaction and their refusal to take ownership of the damage caused under their supervision. I strongly advise potential guests to approach this establishment with caution, as their negligent attitude towards guest safety and well-being is truly concerning.
