Hai Readers! Coimbatore Institute Of Engineering and Technology shortly know as CIET but usually when it pronounce people will hear it like CIT which is an another college in Coimbatore. Lets discuss about pros and cons of this Institute.1) Location and Climate : It is located very far from city of coimbatore has to travel 21 km to reach college. It is located in the feat of vellingiri mountain which is in western ghats. U fell like travelling to forest if u are first time to that place. Climate will be chill and rainy often. CONS: As it is far away from city students find difficulties to travel as it takes 1 hr 30 mins atleast, but the institute says that it is good to be so far, so that the students never go outing often so they could concentrate on studies. Hahahahaha! Did u get laugh when u read that, yes I too got at first. But believe me what institution says is true because I too experienced it.2) Infrastructure : It was build around 2002 so infrastruture , the lab facilities , library are good enough for the students. Even government Bus are available from Gandhipuram, townhall and it drops at gate of college. Cons : No proper Ground facilities.3) Acadamic : From the right from first year there are lot of chance for the students to learn, update new technology and also impact training will be provided and professor takes care of every students. But again its on students hand how they use professor to gain knowledge. Cons : But the extra activity , functions and culturaes will not be done in great manner they usuall make one stage and they keep all activity as much as possible in a week, so most of the people take leave and go to their homes.I felt like tat functions are kept just for nameshake.4) Hostel and fee structure : hostel look pretty good and food in hostel will he noraml but good compare to other college.Students have all rights to complain about food or any problem on hostel. I hope and belive that it is one and only college who get minimum amount of fees compared to all college in Coimbatore. Cons: Boys hostel has to be made strict because of some students bad activities in hostel.5) Placement Cell : The most and important cell in college for both student and institutional growth is the placement cell where they do tremendous work to bring the students from base to achive their goal and their parents goal by getting them a job. Ciet is one of the top 10 college in placement. Cons: placement training is given only aftrr the completion of 3rd year.6) Staff and culture : Ciet follows an traditional culture where students have their dress code and Staff are friendly, any students can approach principle or director of any discrimination at any time.These are the reviews about CIET , not only me if u have Habbit of watching Madras Central they would have troll CIET but to my opinion name can be trolled but quality remains good and I personally request you to join CIET if u have really interest in Engineering. HELLO Friends, Now I am going to share my views on Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology in Coimbatore. It is a private college affliated under Anna University. It is not a autonomous college. My 2 friends studying in this college. One is Mech and other one is CS. Academic program is good and same as Anna university. Administration is fair. Extracurricular activities are good and sports is important part in this college. Alumini network is average. Teachers are friendly and teaching is good. Fees is reasonable.

One of friend were joined coimbatore institude of engineering technology.  He got this college through tamilnadu counseling. This college located near saadivayal coimbatore main road.

This college facilities are normal and hostel is average if somebody don't want to stay in hostel they take room near by. Staffs are very friendly quality of teaching is average. Labs are well maintained.

Campus interview also there and last year almost 50 students were placed in some companies in coimbatore Hostel food is normal. Here I need to mention main tips is like CIT college and this coimbatore institute of engineering technology is different name is similary same so don't get confuse while choosing the college. Select college based on code.
