New year eve 2014 party hosted by Citrus & event managed by Chromozome at the 'Temple tree resort' venue was a disaster to say the least.
We paid for tickets worth Rs.4000 per head for a program that they had the cheek to print & publish as well put up on website ads, like fashion show, international performance, Bollywood surprises, renowned DJ, photo session, wine on each table, Champagne celebration, mid night fireworks, pickup-drop etc.
Not a single activity happened except that a belly dancer performed whom we could not see because the light was on us & not on hers and a DJ who perhaps practiced his first performance on us. The live band was so atrocious that a group of us had to go up to the stage, shout & make them stop the screech.
There was chaos all around. Inexperienced MC & DJ were unable to control the situation & come up to the occasion and eventually large groups of hooligans high jacked the mike & started dancing on stage with Kannada music. I'm sure the innumerable high priced tickets that were not sold were given away at Rs. 4-500 each in the end.
We wanted to leave but the respective drivers provided by the organizers, who had picked us up for the venue had vanished by midnight with their mobiles switched off.
