I did one month crash course after my intermediate for IIT-JEE and AIEEE.

The way they started the training and guidance they have provided was not upto the mark.

They even did not care about whats going on in the training class, trainer just used to come and started giving lectures. He even didnot bother if some one is getting things propoerly or not.

Should pay more attention towards the students as they are taking very high fees just for one month training crash course.

I paid 18000 on 2010 and the material I got was absolute junk with the lowest possible paper quality.It almost withdrew my interest in civils. Buy any material and not brilliant for upsc.They are a bunch of spineless cheaters.Those criminals should be put in jail.The material they gave was a copy paste from nios and ncert books and that too of a horrible quality

I do not recommend Brilliant Tutorial. Now they have got some internal problems. I subscribed YG files during 2011-12. The material was received just few days before IIT exams i.e. also Part 1. They have not sent YG files-Part 2. Most of the students faced same type of problem.They have cheated the students. Do not subscribe this.

Briliant tutorial has cheated noida center's students as theay have taken all the fees in advance but there is no class hapenning and center is closed .Even there head office at chennai and kalu sarai delhi are not responding .they have changed there nos and all the information on website is wrong .

I had even tried to contact there directors but they are not responding, i have paid them 1 lack rs in advance for btylp course and now I am chasing them for the reffund .I am even thinking to go to consumer forum now.

As it is very well known that around october 2011 bt shut all its regional centres due to financial crisis. When asked for a fee refund the institute said that it had tied up with career launcher and "SOON" classes will start but none knows that when that soon will come. every week it said that they are going to start their operations - etc and now we are here nothing happened and after all this when we decided to move for legal action for refund but says it will start its operations again in 2012.

MAYBE FOR NEW STUDENTS AND MONEY IT MAY START BUT I REQUEST EVERY ONE DON'T JOIN BT ITS NOW HOLLOWED. IT'S MAIN TEACHERS HAVE LEFT DUE TO NON PAYMENT OF SALARY - SO IF IT CLAIMS TO COME BACK IT WILL CUT DOWN COSTS BY HIRING CHEAPER NEW INEXPERIENCED TEACHERS OR MAYBE IT WILL FORGE YOU TO JOIN CAREER LAUNCHER EDUCATE IN ITS NAME.

Guys, Please read my review. I have no intention to tarnish the image of Brilliant but I want to help people who are thinking of buying this material.

I enrolled for IAS Prelims cum Mains course and paid Rs.18000 for it. Since Brilliant has such a good reputation with the coaching materials for IIT preparation, the money did not matter to me. But as I started reading the material I realized that I was duped. I feel the material is cut and paste from different books without even editing it in proper sense for example you will have statement like "see below" for an explanation but there is nothing. Some paragraphs don't even have a complete explanation. It just frustrates the reader.

The major drawback is "INK" quality. The black ink spreads all over the pages after reading it. It is just like that cheap quality printouts you get outside your college backyard.

Friends, its better to buy books from stores rather then wasting such huge hard earned money on this cheaters.

Very intelligently looting the money of public. this company is exploiting the weakness of IIT seats of students as well as parents. actually these ppl are charging 13500 for postal tutions. so I dont recommend to join in this tutorials. you can get good material with less cost.

This company is running on past glory that's it, now a days no sr.faculty is there and talented faculty is not willing to work here. minuses are 1) poor faculty 2) age old study material.

I am basically from Chennai, writing this review as I want to share my experience, so this is my detailed review for Students those are willing to shine well on IIT JEE preparation exams. And sorry for making it so long, as this is my first review.

There are lot of classroom coaching centers for teaching IIT JEE Courses in India, but I think based on the current trend, value for money and High quality teaching Brilliant Tutorials stands out completely from others, that too with their well experienced and trained faculties and I should mention about their coaching and faculties. I had a detailed search before joining their classroom coaching, where I found they are a largest player in education since several years, and have a pretty good success rate and I have read in a review that they have made their students to top in IIT JEE 21 times in 28 years.

Even when I joined I did not expect the teaching from the faculty will be the quality I experienced...To say in brief their coaching made me more interested and committed to do very well in my Exams… And as I said before they have some best faculty in their institution…which I have came across, who are friendly too...Where they clarified my doubts with ease...

Coming straight to the point – Their Classroom coaching is made more interesting by providing time to time Online Test Series & Study Materials which are exclusive for the students joining here from the experienced professors, and I bet it will surely take you to the next level of learning. The tests and coaching are really best compared to other institutes. And most importantly they will cover the detailed coverage of important topics in the syllabus. Infrastructure looks good though...

Overall to say, I benefited through Brilliant tutorials and got some excellent improvement in my Exams and found it to be very useful, so I recommend this to all the students, In further adding more I think you can experience on your own…For the students preparing IIT JEE, I recommend their 2 year elite courses and preparatory program are surely good enough…And I wish you all the best.. After reading all reviews about brilliant tutorials, I decided to write a review and expose the real face of this company's organizers. This company reproduces the material from CBSE/NCERT books. They have their own printing press so they maintain printing quality, but the content is same as other competitors.

These people give very attractive advertisement to woo the students and their parents. So I strongly recommend, please do not join any course of this institute.

This so called Brilliant tutorials/cheating p. ltd., is big fraud company. in the name of education they are doing purely money minting business. you can find the material from FIITJEE and other big players in the market. these people.

Simply copy the material and claims that it is their own. more over this cheating company management is very strict in collecting fees from students irrespective of the conducting classes and delivering the material. I strongly recommend please think twice or thrice before join this pseudo educational institute.

My son was interested in joining an IIT coaching center in south Delhi. After careful evaluation of different training institutions we finally settled with Brilliant Tutorials for the below 3 reasons.

Now that he has joined Brilliant tutorials I hope he would do his best for the IIT exam.

I have bought course content for my nephew and it was good. I did not take IIT, however my friends had taken when contacted them, they suggested brilliant. The materials were delivered on time and they even send SMS which was very useful. I will definitely recommend brilliant tutorials.

My nephew got into IIT Delhi and is very happy. They should have some community activities like get together etc. So that the students can exchange ideas between them.

My daughter had taken their coaching classes (2 Year Programme) for IIT at Dwarka Branch in New Delhi. Because of the poor level of the teachers and the course conduct, she not only gained nothing, she started doing badly in her school too. I did not want her to continue lest she do badly in 12th Board Exams. I requested the institute to either refund the balance amount or allow her to complete the balance one year after her 12th class. The institute agreed to nothing.

In Aug 2010, East Delhi District Consumer Forum ordered them to refund a student's fees in similar circumstances where a student had not availed their services fully. In spite of quoting this judgement, where severe strictures have been passed against them, the Institute does not feel ethically inclined to honour the spirit of the judgement. Thus, it is merely a run-of-the-mill category institute whose aim is only to make money.

So, consider this institute only if you are prepared to take the risk of getting stuck once you have paid your not-insubstantial fees.

This is a big fraud company

Do not join this college or take any agency from this group company compugen, it evades agents commission and employees salaries also. We have faced a lot of problems with this group companies. Though study material is good lot of plagiarism is there in that material.so we strongly advice do not take these company agency.

We have filed a cheating case on this company proceedings are going on , once it comes to hearing every thing will be proved and the md will be behind the bars. The managers and m.d are watching this complaint , but they dont respond because their skin is too thick .

I had my son enrolled for the distance education of AIEEE/BITSAT at Brilliant tutorials based in Chennai, their sit down test located at various locations in India is organised well, but recently they have rolled out an alternative online test system, if one opts for online based test system he cannot revert back to the sit down tests.

Their online test system is a total failure, one cannot log into their online website, and if successful the login system fails, Brilliant had to cancel two online test due to failure on their part to run the system smoothly. It is total waste of precious time of our child and also waste of money.

My advise, enrol your child only after double ocnfirming with students who are already taking the course currently, and make sure you take a written guarantee that if their online tests fail to take off then you can get a refund. When contacted about our problems their staff is also rude and give us a standard reply, no real help is available.

My son has deep interest in getting into IIT's since childhood and we decided to help him with whatever best guidance we can offer.

I was searching for a suitable course to be undertaken by my son for preparing him for IIT JEE. When he reached 8th , I got him a correspondence course from Ressonance. It was a one year correspondence course meant for Class VIIIth. I was very disappointed with the contents as well as the questions / problems. Basically it was a waste of time.

Now my son is in IXth and I have got him " Target IIT " two years correspondence course from Brilliant Tutorials , Chennai. He has finished reading the first 4 sets and I can tell you this is very good. Although the theory part is not covered in detail but the examples as well as the problems and quizes are great. It is giving lot of confidence to my son.

I believe basis this he is also able to do well in his school tests particularly in Maths and Physics.His teachers too are very happy with his performance. I think we have been able to locate the right kind of course for him. There are some of his friends who have joined other weekend coaching classes but I feel Brilliant Target IIT course is better because one can do things at his/ her own pace.

We want to give him the best coaching which should not put undue pressure on the candidate but help him in bettering his chance. he is bright boy and we would like to move him to whichever place / institute which is best.

For his Class XIth and XIIth I have following options :-

1) Vidyamandir , Punjabi Bagh , Delhi - 2 years Regular Class room course.+ CBSE ( 11th and 12th from some school in Delhi )

2) Brilliant Tutorials - 2 yrs Elite Course ( correspondence)

3) Put him in Bansal Kota for 2 years Class room coaching + CBSE ( 11th and 12th from some local school...I understand the best part of this arrangement is attendence is not a big problem and students can concentrate on coaching )

4) FIITJEE , Delhi Campus , Regular course.

Can someone give what would be the best option for me. Currently we are in Aurangabad.

I am sharing my experiences with Brilliant Tutorials during my preparation for GATE 2003 and 2004. I had appeared for GATE(Computer Science) twice - in 2003 for the sake of practise, and in 2004 for the real examination. And for my preparation - I had used Brilliant's study material. Besides reviewing their study material, I am also using this review to share my personal experience, which may come a bit handy for students who are preparing for GATE.

The first and foremost thing which came as a real shock was - they do not conduct any tests at all, as opposed to their courses for IIT-JEE preparations! Maybe there are not too many takers for their postal courses for GATE - I don't know! They just send you study material set-after-set, and not-to-forget the notification for GATE forms, and examination dates.

Their postal course is of just 1 year duration. So, my strong advice to all those who are really serious about clearing GATE(CS) with a high score, is to start preparing in the 3rd year(of BTech/BE) itself. Also, they do not conduct any tests for GATE - so the best strategy would be - prepare for 1 year in your 3rd year itself, and then do appear for GATE. Yes, I repeat - do appear for GATE in your 3rd year itself, this is the best way to judge yourself rather than taking any "simulated" or "the real like" practise tests.

As per my knowledge of the engineering syllabus followed in most of the engineering colleges of India covers 80%-90% of the GATE syllabus by the end of 3rd year. So, it is always a safe bet to do a net-practise in your 3rd year, analyze your weaknesses, and then attempt GATE in your final year again. The best thing about GATE is - the scores are valid for 2 years, and there is absolutely nothing like averaging or supercedence of scores, if you appear for this exam multiple times.

If you really work hard, you can end up getting a very high score in your 3rd year, and then there might be no need at all to retry in your final year.

Now, coming to Brilliant's material - their dispatch of materials was always timely. At least in my case, I never faced any unexpected delays. The best part is - you get all material together at one place. GATE is fully objective type of examination(as per the data available at the time of writing this review).

Brilliant provides a brief summary of the topics alongwith hundreds of objective type problems in each set. The next set invariably contains the solutions - they provide necessary explanations for the answer whenever needed. There are occasional misprints in typing of answers - not quite so uncommon in case of multiple choice answers - but I found hardly 2% answers wrong, that too in their final practise set(containing 1500+ problems). Their accuracy is very high, and hence reliable.

As per my experience, I have occasionally browsed through several GATE preparation guides available in market, but found them just pathetic.

You can also ask their academic section for explanation to solution of any relevant problem, and they DO reply back - however it may take upto 3 weeks!

In my case, I had enrolled with them around June of 2002. Their course dispatch starts from March, so I was bombarded with the first 3 sets within 50 days or so. After that, they used to send the course material every 30 days or so.

Their study material was in perfect synchronization with the courses being taught in my college during the 3rd year, and that greatly helped me to achieve good marks in my college examinations too. Not only this, the diligent practising of their objective type problems came very handy during the placement seasons too. I had a job offer at hand in my very first attempt at the placement season of my college, and hence was free from all worries for my preparation for GATE 2004.

The topics covered really well by their material were -

1. Digital logic and Microprocessors

2. Compilers

3. Finite State machines

4. C/C+

5. Mathematics(Permutations and Combinations, Algebra, sequences and series)

6. Algorithmic complexity, and data structures

The above topics were the core essentials of the syllabus in my time, and used to cover around 80% of the syllabus.

Towards the end of the course, they sent a practise booklet containing 1500+ objective type problems, and that was really helpful for me - in terms of helping me building my timing.

And yes, the standard of their problems in their sets was really at par with the actual problems asked in the GATE examination.

I cleared GATE 2003 easily, but my rank was not at all sufficient to guarantee an MTech interview call from any IITs. But, the best thing was - I came to know of all my weaknesses, and prepared again using the same old material(the GATE syllabus does not change unusually much over a period of 1 year). And this time, I cleared GATE 2004 with a good score.

In a nutshell, I would like to say that you have to put in a lot of effort from your end too, if you are really serious about GATE. Besides preparing from Brilliant's(or any other coaching center's) material, you have to focus really hard on your studies, in particular for the first 2 years of your engineering. You need to utilise this material properly, in sync with the syllabus followed at your college - and if you can do that - then clearing GATE is no big deal at all.

However, Brilliant's material is a bit overpriced in my opinion. If they could include tests(conducted in real exam environment just like they do for IIT-JEE), that would be really great. Overall, Brilliant rockks!

Just in case, the readers are curious about my performance at GATE - here are my scores

GATE 2003 - AIR 990 with 97.31 percentile

GATE 2004 - AIR 153 with 99.55 percentile. Through this score, I got calls for MTech admission interviews from IITs at Delhi, Kanpur, KGP, Mumbai and Chennai(these were the only ones to whom I had applied). I got selected by IIT Delhi, completed my MTech(CS) from there in 2006, and currently working at one of the best software companies - the one I always dreamed to work for (I won't name the company as I want to protect my privacy on the web  :-)

In my opinion, BRILLIANT TUTORIALS or simply BT are truly committed to the future of the young IIT-JEE aspirants.

Students who consider themselves as averagely intelligent and who need to work on their basics, can enroll themselves with this institute as this is THE BEST for them.

It doesn't mean that the instituteis not good for the intelligent ones. Of course they are too welcomed!

And to remind them, scholarships are provided upto Rs 74, 000 to the exceptionally brilliant students on the basis of enterance exam and upto Rs 54, 000 on the basis of CBSE results.

So go and enroll yourself for your brilliant future.

The main advantage of joining this institute is that the faculty concentrates on both, **CBSE and IIT-JEE preparations.

Therefore, one should not worry about his **XII boards with BT.

As equal importance is given to both future deciding examinations.

The faculty is too great! (Ican say this being a BT student)

A concept is explained in detail and there after, practice problems to check the application of the concept learn.

They are very cooperative and understanding.

Also, the study material provided by BT is a part of the courseware and is specifically designed for the usage of students enrolled with it.

The material is written keeping in mind the order of topics given by the CBSE and would serve to build a firm fondation for the IIT-JEE preparation.

One more advantage  of this institute is that in every branch there is a SDCC ( students doubt clearing cell), where students at any time (except mondays and obviously at working hours) can come and clear his/her doubts and problems.
