Headlights, White Lines, Black Tar Rivers is the best live album of English group, the Levellers. The Levellers have been going for over 10 years, and this album contains some of their best live tracks, recorded on tour in 1995 and 1996.
The Levellers music is a cross between folk, rock and punk. There are rocking guitars, a violin, and on some of their records, even a digeridoo! This album contains one of their better known singles, Hope Street, and their most well known song ever, One Way. It also includes Battle of the Beanfield, about an event which occurred in England a few years ago, where some New Age Travellers were attacked by police. Other songs include, England My Home, Carry Me, Liberty, and Riverflow. Anyone lucky enough to see the Levellers live will love this cd, as it captures the atmosphere well.
Anyone who likes rock music and is looking for something a bit different will love it too. I highly recommend this cd, and any of their other ones!
