Apna Bazaar – name reveal the nature of this place. It is a huge bazaar in Sector 17 at Vashi – Navi Mumbai. This review is on that particular store. I have seen boards of Apna Bazaar in some other parts of Mumbai but do not have any personal experience.
I go there as an escort and to carry huge bags full of life saving item like Dal, Rice. I consider it as a Grocery Bazaar where you can also buy some household items. Total two floors and almost all household items are stored there.
Ground Floor
Grocery Items – Some very specialty items may not be available otherwise you can buy almost everything required daily. All items have reasonable price tag and may be cheaper in some cases. They have introduced Apna Bazaar brand pickles and masala.
Cosmetics – Good stock but not a place for very high range products.
Frozen Food – That small counter have good stock (chicken) with a good price tag.
Medicine – Not a big counter and I have never purchased any medicine from there.
Fast Food – Hotdogs, Burgers etc are available in that corner counter but we prefer to go to McDonald about two minutes walk from this store.
Mattresses and Pillows – Some chalu materials are available there. Once we purchased some pillows for our Navi Mumbai residence but now repenting.
Some seasonal items like woolen garments, umbrella are also displayed there during the season.
First Floor
Same like that of ground floor – huge and specious. This floor is full of household items. They have almost everything.
Utensils– 5 to 6 big racks are full of steel utensils of various type, designs and quality. We have purchased few such items from there and do not have any complaint. There is good stock of Crockery but not very attractive. Pretty good stock of plastic items is also displayed there.
Electrical Items– You will get Fan, Iron, and Hotplate etc of popular brands. Not purchased anything so cannot tell you about after sales service that is important in case of consumer durables.
Oven- Microwave ovens, Grills of reputed companies are also available.
Textile & Shoe –They maintain good stock and variety. Once purchased Bombay Dying make Bed sheets and towels. For clothing, under garments, shoe etc we prefer to go elsewhere.
Watches – This counter is quite big of course never tried anything. Still prefer to go to Titan Showroom.
Cassettes & CDs– Better half never forgets to visit that counter but very rarely buy something.
Stationeries – Regular items are available
Sports items - Not the right place if you are in search of quality products
Carpet shop – You know I do not like fuzul ka khrcha so never gone there.
General information
It is a very specious and they maintain huge stock. In this review, I tried to cover all important items and whatever I remember.
Like most of the departmental stores here also no salespersons tries to prove their skill. They can double their sales figure by proactive salespersons.
Payment terms – Cash or Credit cards. Every floor has at least two cash counters.
Cleanliness – One Thousand people must be visiting that shop everyday because of the location and availability of items and this store is reasonably clean and tidy. Housekeeping is good. Goods are stored properly and not difficult to trace. There is nothing perfect in this world so there is always enough scope to improve – they should improve display of the products.
Parking – There is enough places outside the store by the side of the road but little congested during office hours.
They do not work on Friday so on Sunday they attract working people. Working hours 9 to 13 & 15 to 20 hours (please confirm)

So friends, Apna Bazaar stores almost everything that are require in our daily life. It’s not a place for Trendy Crowd but still you will find many of them there due its location and Availability of Several Items in one place. One may avail the service of this store if residing in and around Navi Mumbai.
