HEY FOLKS. I myself being a product of this college, I think I am the right person to write about it.
well I can write whole book describing each aspect related to this college but that won't be feasible for me to do so, so I will try to limit myself in fewer words or pages:p.
I did my schooling from various kendriya vidyalaya's(K.V) in india.
upto class 12th every year I was learning and developing good skills in every field wheather it is sports or academic, music, yoga, dance, computer science, writing skills, debate competitions you name it.
K.V, s are all about overall development of a student.
then I took this college as one of my friend told me about it.
I took admission
1.hostel
-infrastructure is very good.(wifi available)
-food is worst(when I admitted in I was 60 kg, moths after I was
55-56)
-we agitated many times because of this issue but the quality of food never improved.
-Actually our mess was given on contract to a local person, so he just focused on making money and none looked towards us.
-Also many students asked to just pay for the hostel room and they will manage food from somewhere else, But not a single case was allowed in my 4 years in that trap.
-they will accommodate 3 students in one room and still charge you around 80, 000 for one year(very expensive)
-no privacy(warden is a pain in ss.)
2 Crowed
-just one word "TATTI" crowd(85%)
- after all those years in K.V. with army kids I saw a down fall in my life for the first time.
-there were some students who were full time Gunda, after I passed out I found out our warden(who is a faculty also) was also beaten up by students.
3 Academic
-Same old booring theoretical notes are fed
-no practical knowledge is giving(denge kaha se teacher ko khud nahi aata)
-you guys must be thinking that how do I know, whether those teachers were good or not.(I joined Made Easy after college in delhi, which gives coaching for IES and GATE, there I got to know the real pleasure of studying real engineering and also what sht I have been dealing with in college)
4 Infrastructure
-Very good infrastructure
-the only reason I loved my college.
-big stadium
-indoor sports complex.(some how fake only, they(college administration) always showed a poster in front of complex of cafeteria and pool table in it, which was never there and nor it came in fore-coming days
-but overall sports complex was good.it was fully centralized air-conditioned, it had a gym with 10 years old few equipment, 3 squash courts(3rd one was with broken floor, so not operative) but rest of two were in perfect condition.
-also sports complex had very good indoor badminton court and two table tennis courts.
-canteen always sucked because of its improper build and another reason which kept all the students haunting whole 4 years was the "monkeys", yes guys this college have hundreds of monkeys in it, because of its geographical location(as it is covered with keetham bird sanctuary) which is illegal and court has put stay on this college for any further construction in it.(video link attached)
-yes guys the main gate of the college is sealed(i thought my degree is in danger then, but eventually I managed to get it)
-classrooms are ok-ok(but benches sucks dude, don't know if the made them all by taking measurement of a 7 feet guy)
-labs and library are there.
DON'T GET TRAPPED BY THERE BY PROMOTIONAL VIDEO,
THEY ARE JUST VISIBLE TEETH OF AN ELEPHANT
-All these things are inside college but whenever u want to go out for shopping or just casual hangout, u will have to go through a torture ride of minimum 18 km or more in an auto(45 mins to 1 hour) to reach out to the city.
- Academics
-most of the faculties are just ok(it don't take to much to just study a subject theoretically)
-every month we had these unit tests(class tests) 2 chapters a subject. just write and get marks(no big deal) they will not ask you very good questions.
-assignments were given to "copy", yes just copy a bundle of A4 size text from any of the fellow student and get marks.(scoring marks is very easy in uptu colleges)
-have good attendance u will get marks.
-In labs but I observed in my days that both teachers as well as students rush to do formalities in the name of labs). Students just keep on copying experiments in their practical notebooks, teachers sipping their tea, and its done, two lectures gone. no one ever tried to have a dialogue about something practical, except few teacher(since I was from electrical branch, so I can comment about them only) mr. Bhagat sir(machines) and mr. Puneet sir(power electronics) they were quite into their respective subjects and one faculty mr. Swami Saran sir(he was thrown out of college due to internal departmental politics) one of the best faculty in our college.
BASICALLY ACADEMICS HAVE MORE FORMALITY LESS REALITY.
every teacher have to complete a book in one semester which have very few working days so he got to rush up.
BUT REMEMBER SCORING 60 ABOVE IN UPTU IS QUITE EASY.
(like a government employee get a lot of perks with his salary similarly u can also avail drop by drop in uptu)
So if u are just looking to get a degree then don't waste your money here. get a cheaper college.
6.NON SUPPORTIVE ADMINISTRATION
- PLACEMENTS
-Yes students get placed in various companies u just need to have 60+ and good communication skills not much.
-only 1-2 big companies come here to recruit(TCS) rest will just hire u 2 minutes and take u to noida and ask you to sell flats for 12-18 thousand salary per month.(this, selling flat thing is not metaphor, it has actually happened with my seniors and colleagues).
- I don't think that u will spend lakhs of money on any engineering degree and go for selling flats. CONCLUSION
THIS COLLEGE IS BEST FOR THOSE CANDIDATES WHO FULLFILL ALL CONDITIONS "COLLECTIVELY" MENTIONED BELOW:-
- IF U ARE A AGRA LOCALITE
2 and IF U HAVE ENOUGH MONEY
and IF U DIDN'T GET ANY GOOD COLLEGE
and IF U ARE NOT INTERESTED IN KNOWLEDGE MORE AND JUST NEED DEGREE.
AND LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST
- IF U CAN LICKSS BETTER.
THIS COLLEGE IS DEFINITELY FOR U.
