HP Laserjet 1010

Dear friends, I feel this is a very good printer launched by hp some 2 years back.recently this printer has been purchased in our office and I have been using it for the last week.and I can tell u that it has been a very good experiwnce using it.it si very uswr friendly.in many traditional printers we used to change the papers or change the tray size as per the paper in order to print on the desired paper.but on this printer you dont have to change the paper tray every now and then as in the case of old printers.it is very fast and also at the same time robust.

I bought this printer at summer 2007 for my pc. It never get disabled at any cost.it has best durability. I love this printer because you can give print from ANDROID mobile too.just install Hp Laserjet App from Google Appstore I Repaired This printer last Month because I was not using it since 1 year.still only ink was repaired.whole printer was ok.!

HP Laserjet 1010 printer paper handling quality is good but some time I face some issue because paper become stuck in the printer and some time paper is not easy to remove from the printer.

This printer is very ease of use and every one use this printer without any knowledge or training. Its printer control is very nice but its print button is not proper work.

This printer service is very nice and its phone service is also good, my many problems is solve with phone conversion but it service is very limited. This printer spare parts is not easy to available in the market.

This printer, printing speed is poor and some time print quality is very poor and unreadable.

This printer feature is nice and easy to handle it. Its every function button like as indicator, but print quality is not so good.

I bought a new HP LaserJet 1022 printer in July 2006 because they were offering a free gift with it.

Now, I thought that the purpose of giving a gift is presumably to create customer delight. Perversely, HP does just the opposite !

Claiming a gift should be easy and simple. However, trying to claim this gift is next to impossible, and HP has done it's best to make this very complex for its customers. The redemption process is online,and badly designed.

No one replies to emails or phone calls. Instead of keeping customers happy, this is

an excellent example of how to turn customers off !

No wonder HP in India is doing badly. I'll never buy another HP product in my life.

I even sent a copy of my complaint to the HP President online, but no one replies.

Why does HP make their customers go through such a complex and convoluted

procedure just to redeem a gift ?

Instead of creating goodwill, they are creating a lot of resentment and anger

This is a good example of poor customer service.

Unfortunately, it's hard to get redressal !

I understand from papers and other magazines printes are available ever for Rs.4500/- it self. Why you have not advertised right from small value. please explain.First of all the first item I have picked up is HP printer. At presemt I am using TVS MSP 240 printer. This is really good. I hve been using the same for more than 5 years. Why I am crazy in changing is I want to have colour printer with reasonably priced and effective in all respects and I also want the printer should have all configeration comparing the competition in the market. I honestly telling you to advertise all the products so that people with low budget also will purchse and study the same. you should also mention the delivery schedule and also authoorised dealer to whom we should approch so that we will get the new item only.

There I was , just another one fallen for the attractive advertisement and the price of Rs 9990. Was looking for a good laser printer the dealer recommended the cheapest and best option as 1010 got it installed it .

Price : 9990 /- May-05

Lessons learnt : READ TECHNICAL DOCS COMPLETEY before buying anything. Even though if they are long read them . It was my mistake I didnt read the technical info of the printer in detail. The printer is a host based printer and does have its own processor and hence DOS prints are out of question.

Cons : No dos prints, Doest work on NT , will throw up random unsupported pcl error with windows 2000 pro and windows xp, paper jams even with the best quality of paper available today.

Pros : Print quality is between average and good. In econmode it is too light

Print speed is good. IT is a compact machine and looks good.

Advice : Avoid goign for this particular model and in same series of 1012 of hp there is no support of drivers for the problems mentioned above.

I am totally dissappointed with the result.But since its just 2 month old printer cant even think of replacing it. will have to use at is.
