Do not trust matrix as they take you for a ride. Most of the reviews here are fake. Do not fall for it.They offer services for which the charge is 20 times more than normal. If you still continue, do it at your own risk. There are multiple forums where they have been blasted.Never ever authorize them to auto debit your credit card, they will give you the shock of your life.Not recommended at all. They are the biggest fraud.

On a recent business trip to Europe, my company provided me with a matrix connection. I must admit tht I was very skeptical as I had not heard anything positive on it. But to my surprise Matrix was good desicion that was made! I was obviously using internet data and the connection made it very simple to check my emails and facebook when I was on the move. I had difficulty in setting my network to T-Mobil and I had emailed them my concern. Since I had my collegue's alternate number which I shared with them, they called me on that number, took me through setting up the network so that my data would work too and they actually just took 5 minutes time to help me set it up. Post which to check if it was working or not, they called me on their matrix number and confirmed the same! I honestly wasn’t expecting this but I am really glad.

I usually travel a lot and most of the times I find myself in places where I can either not understand the language or they not understanding me. So this time when I was traveling to France I had to do a lot of research on International sim cards and finally zeroed on Matrix Internationals sims to avoid the communication gaps there. I realized it was a good deal because not only was it economical when it came to tarrifs and data usage, the call quality is also great! And best part is they sent timely itimised bills which made it easier for me to see where and what I spent on. I think matrix sims are a decent option to travel with! Definitely recommending incase you looking for saving some money

I was going to USA for the first time in my life was quite frankly confused about which International sim card to use! But when I reached the airport I found the martix counter in Bangalore and the sales guys there explained everything in detail and really cleared all my doubt! Must say it was a very wise choice as not only is it cheaper, price wise, to others since I checked some local SIM locally, I gave my number to my friends and family before getting to the flight from my Indian number but also they are very helpful. Really appreaciate the brand and advise everyone to use it when they travel.

I bought International sim before coming to USA but it was  a waste.

My International sim did not work in USA. Recieved a welcome message from matrix on loading sim. But was not able to use it at all. Tried to use data but failed. tried to call India an USA numbers but nothing worked.

Total waste. Never buy it. Wish I had read reviews before purchasing it.

I bought 3 SIM cards from Matrix. Rs 2408 each prepaid(bundled prepaid 2099 plan), for UK, Spain and France for use in May/June 2016. I deeply regret my decision. When you need it the most, the SIM is worthless. When making voice calls, I frequently got the following message: Emergency calls only. When using data, I frequently got the following message: Data connection not available.

So could it be that I was in a bad area? No and No! My wife and son were traveling with me. She bought an Orange SIM in Spain(10 Euros, or Rs 750) and he had a T-Mobile SIM from USA. About 70% of the time when I tried to use my phone, I had no connection but both of them had connection.

So for Matrix I paid the highest and got the worst service. The big selling point for Matrix is the ability to make voice calls to India. But frequently, even that was limited to "Emergency calls only". And with What's app calling, you can always ask someone to make a call on your behalf.

When I called their service number to find out how much data I had left on my plan, they put me on hold for a long time. At the cost of my minutes. After the long hold, the operator said "wait" and disappeared.

In my opinion, buying Matrix is like buying a Premier Padmini(outdated car). It will sputter along, but you've paid big money for sputtering along.

I had been to ITALY and France with family on vacation for 15 days. I bought ITALY Matrix prepaid sim card(Plan was Rs.3099 500min voice free and 1GB data, I took it because of data plan so that I can use it for navigation, directions and local transport details on GMAPS)from Bangalore airport(as most of the time I was travelling in ITALY).

Sales person took passport copy, application form filled with signature.

Sales person said its activated use when you are in italy, I switched in mobile in Rome Italy, my phone did not get signal( I tried manual selection or auto selection different carrier, did not work).

Surprisingly there was no toll free number to call to customer care and you have to call india number(internal number for customer support) and they dont respond for 25mins of waiting on internal call(pathetic support)

I somehow managed to get to hotel where I got wifi support(whole purpose of SIM card has gone for toss) and contacted friend of mine to help contacting india matrix customer care number(he tried 4-5 times waited for 25-30mins on call to talk to customer care person).Got to know from customer care that my number was not active in the first place. After activation it started working and after 10days of my trip again connection lost and I dont have any means to contact Matrix customer care as its india number(This time I was looking for navigation and direction from Matrix sim card).

When you are on vacation and using sim card for data, navigation and direction purpose. If network provider fails to provide is not a good state to be.

Since the day I bought SIM card and contacted customer care, they did not contact me on service they provided nor an e-mail on difficulty faced due to Matrix support system.

I recommend not use Matrix operator(unless you want to try adventure trip with this sim card)

I had recently gone to Europe and taken a Matrix Europe sim.I had problem calling up and using the internet.It failed me when I needed it the most.

There are far better options .You can go for Libra or Lyca mobile.They are extremely reliable and cheap.You can get the sim in India or upon arrival.

I recently bought a sim for my travel to Philippines. The agent came to my office with the plan and gave me the sim. While giving the sim I will be charged as per the plan which is in INR and it includes talktime. Whereas after my trip was completed I was charged three times of the plan and that too in PHP currency.

When I called back the agent and asked him about the currency He initially said its always in INR later when I told him that I am being charged in PHP he completely disagreed to his earlier statement and said its as per the plan and you accepted it before taking.

My mistake that I did not check the invoice before leaving India but on the whole it was a bad experience and I felt cheated. I am not going to refer to suggest Matrix to any of my frequent corporate traveler friends.

The call quality is okay. The internet service is also good since it really really helped me putting my photos and checkins on social media without hitting hard on my wallet. It, no doubt, made it all the more memorable. Really appreciate the brand and advise everyone to use it when they travel.

I was using this card for my travels, internet is very low and no connection, they will take you your credit card details and they will charge you immediately so you will not come to know.

This is horrible situation once after bill generation.No one will take care.

When I was in Egypt the sim card was not working, they are not responding me and no information, you will be helpless. Once card was not worked then also they charged me the amount.

If you are on a trip abroad and think about quickly buying a SIM on the airport, Please, Please, Please.wait.there are honey traps all around you on airports. Especially the post paid SIM card guys and sometimes girls. BIG HONEY TRAPS.

These guys will ask you for your credit card number. You have no problem and give it to them.And thats it. The first offer made to you is very sweet. You go for it. But when you get the bill at the end of the month, you would come to know that each and every word of mine is true.

So hear is the tip:

Always go for prepaid cards. Matrix never has one.

Never give your credit card details to the telecom company. Matrix insists for this.

Its better to buy a card at the airport of the destination rather than source. Matrix will lay its honey trap while leaving from India.

Call centre of Matrix has a wait time starting from 10 mins

I used Matrix internal sim card on a recent trip to UK and I must say that the service is decent, calling rates are pretty low as compares to others in the market. Call quality is good and even internet worked nicely. I took a prepaid number on there online and the SIM was delivered in 2 days and did online recharge most of the times. good  experience overall.

Local service is also good. Initially  when we got there, the sim card was giving us issues with catching network and despite full signals we couldn’t make calls. So we got in touch with their customer care over a call and explained the constant network trouble we were facing. Rahul(support guy) took us through the process of setting the network manually and emailed the process since it required switching off the phone. We followed the process and waited for him to call back. He did and also the network trouble was resolved.

Hi friends today we are talking about new Matrix network service provider.

As my opinion Matrix service provider is one of the worst very bad telecom service provider .

the network is very strong but somewhere not anywhere like metro cities only. the internet service is also good but it is also in only countable cities otherwise this are fail to provide service.

costomer care service very bad first they required more time to recieve phone and other thing is they do not provide proper solution or take a lot of time to solve the problem.

And in some countries the service is not provided by matrix.

I hate this.

Trip to usa is not being accepted for uber and such other services. I am told this is due to us regulatory requirements.

If so why wasn't I informed about it before hand.Totally in a mess in a foreign country due to matrix.Disgusted and disappointed by their services.

No link on website for reviews or feedback so that other customers can know about such pitfalls.I dont recommend that anybody take matrix cellular sim/phone numbers for us trips. Better to arrange for a sim in usa only.

I used there service for a 1 week germany trip. When the bill came I was surprised to see they had charged 2k extra for data.

When I spoke to them they said in have used 2000 kbs. But I never used the datA. It is ridiculous to charge 2k for 2000bks when I am sure I have not used it. Not sure if they do this scam with others. Be cautious about this data charges

This review is to beware fellow travelers not to be tricked by a Fraud company by name of MATRIX providing sim cards.

I travelled to South Africa on 13th May for 9 days. I bought a matrix card at Delhi Airport. I was looking for minimum connectivity and was offered a card of ZAR 599. Found it expensive, but just signed some papers quickly trusting sales guy to fill the long forms in small letters( No one ever reads it).

On 16th may, I got connected via hotel wi-fi and read a email from Matrix that my contract is for ZAR 899. I rejected the agreement sent on mail and was informed by SMS that card will be blocked within 24 hours. Instead, Matrix kept sending me the same agreement everyday to make me accept their fraud. I rejected it every-time.

On 20th may, I received an e-mail from their executive that my plan has been changed to ZAR 599. I rejected it again as I was to Return to India on 23rd May and the card was of no use me anyway. On coming back to India on 23rd may, I promptly returned their card.

Since, then I have had multiple exchange of mails and they have raised the bill for ZAR599 plus innumerable charges almost doubling the amount.

The company is being run by crooks, who will go any level to cheat. Please be careful and never purchase their card. I can be reached out via mail anytime.

I took matrix prepaid sim for USA trip, from one of the Vfs Branch executive his no.9739970761. he gave good service, he helped me to chose the plan. transparency  was there in his explanation, he explained all tax charges properly.over all good service.

I already tried stay connect for my last trip, matrix is far better than stay-connect. at least they response call.

I always recommend to buy prepaid for any country travel.

While off to USA, I took thier international sim card for 1100 rps . I was going to Pittsburg and had checked with them umpteen times whether the number would work in this city.

As expected, the number did not work and I had to write numerous emails to customer care but did not get any response. Ultimately, the sim worked on the last day of my stay of 3 weeks . Horrible experience. I asked for a refund but their was NO response at all.

Number 447452213221. Its a sheer wastage of time and money. never ever go for matrix international cheap cards. And look at their latest ad. Data chahiye beta. Arrogant!

Rude matrix, treat customer as your " baap". Filthy cheats!
