BSNL FTTH

We got FTTH broadband in our apartment and it is not working for last 1 week. Have complained to DGM, GM .everyone and nobody fixes saying that the main optical fiber cable is broken and that they need permission to dig up.

Pathetic service after paying 1345+ 150(modem rental)+ tax per month. Worst decision to take up FTTH of BSNL

Please avoid BSNL FTTH like plague. They have outsourced this and do not have the technical competency to handle optical fiber. Better to go with ACT or Reliance Jio when they launch

BSNL FTTH is a very bad product. The normal linemen of BSNL do not fix the issues - entire thing is outsourced to a 3rd party vendor. Their SLA of 24 hours is measured as 3 working days as their personnel work 8 hours a day. This is not a joke but their offiical policy

WIth such SLAs, if you are planning to use BSNL for your work from home or other activities, it is a no-brainer that it will not work.

Keep away from BSNL at any cost. Worst service provider

My connection is down since 4 days and no sight to resolution

Totally unworthy and unreliable. I am near Koramangala in Bangalore. I raised ticket with 1500 number of BSNL. He tells me - "Sir we have 24 hours SLA and technician works 8 hours a day. So issues will take 3 days"> Take that!

At-least customer service/response is good with private vendor. BSNL folks and linemen don't resolve issue for 4 days and keep their mobiles switched off

The optical fiber Internet of BSNL is supposed to be a premier service offering with high speed and connectivity.

Connectivity of optical fiber internet has been broken for entire Nimhans campus and also at my address since 2/14/2017.

There has been no resolution at all. Here is the chronology of events:

1. Optical Fiber broadband Internet stops working on 2/14/2017

2. Docket/Ticket number raised by calling 1500 from BSNL landline. Docket Number 117345717212

3. Calling BSNL Local lineman does not yield resolution. He says the lineman does not take care of optical fiber broadband and that it is outsourced

4. Called the person in charge of the optical fibernet(Suresh mobile number 9686335866) but he refused to even take up the call

5. Raised escalation ticket number 117357097437 owing to inexplicable 3 day delay

Very poor experience with BSNL. Issue remains unresolved even after days.

Technicians and call center folks have the audacity to tell us that 24 hour deadline for them means 3 days as they only work 8 hours a day

I am using bsnl ftth connection since 5 years. In bsnl there are lots of high speed plans to use. The speed of bsnl is high and reliable and services are quite good.In jaipur there are around 5000 customers are there that having FTTH connection. Its connectivity is really nice and easy to access the net over all using router or by direct using a LAN cable in your computer. In ftth connection you also get an IPTV services of TV. BSNL is really good service than all other Internet service providers.

I am writing this review on the basis of my own experience with BSNL FTTH ISP, still I am writing this review using BSNL FTTH wifi, and I am glad to have this ISP.

I am using this connection for 7 months and I had taken a plan of 10MBPS with unlimited data usage for one month at very cheap cost, i always get more than 5.5MBPS downloading speed with this plan, so I mostly have recent popular contents of internet.

also, it is so reliable connection, as you have already know about BSNL connections, its too fast and in my opinion still I have never face ever any major problem regarding the connection.so it is most reliable connection according to me.

its service is also better than the other local operators, as I have some minor problems regarding the connectivity at night after 1:00am, so I called the customer care and they immediately pick my callas and give me support and within 10-15 minutes I will be able to use the internet properly.

so I want to recommend you all to have this connection, if you really have the better connectivity.

In the present day world, internet is an essential part of our life. BSNL FTTH connection provides you high speed internet over fiber connection. The plans which they offer are pretty decent and the speed is awsome, still the product lacks in the after sale service. I would really love to give this 5 star but due to the poor service I am bound to give only 3 star. Yet the internet connectivity is decent and after you cross your download limit still you get a pretty decent speed of 1 mbps. Overall the internet connection over Fiber is good as compared to others. Only suggestion to BSNL is to improve their after sale service and maintenance.

BSNL fiber to home offers high speed internet to almost all parts of the country, the speed is very good rarely fluctuates the connection is stable and is rarely disturbed.

I am currently using the 24 Mbps plan and the speed is excellent, the connection is great and reliable.

Sometimes there a some techincal issues but are very shortly resolved by the support staff.

The Support staff is nice and fair and is always available whenever I need them but the only problem is the price which need to pay at the end of the month. If BSNL reduces the prices of their FTTH service then I bet no other Broadband Service Provider can match their standards.

Speed is quite Awesome but after two days speed started  buffer which makes sounds me irritatation too, I complainted too they took some reports and now it is over 7 days no action took, finally I m going to disconnect it  Really I expected alot from this service but now I m disappointed with this .

I have high expectations from BSNL FFTH service when I decided to use the service for my daily needs. Unfortunately, the network is mostly down ever since I started use this and whenever it was online it gives poor downloading and uploading speeds.

Sometimes it is worst than 2G internet services. Their packs are also costly compared to many private companies. I am using this for last few months and I am extremely disappointed with their service. You should have expected a lot better from a Government owned company.

Using FTTH for the past four months from BSNL Chennai. Though the connection speed is available as promised, there are frequent interruptions in the service. Some times the interruptions last few minutes but some time days.

Hovever it will be unfair to give a score less than 3/5. If your needs are basic, such as browsing, streaming HD videos etc in a residential enviornment, you can go for it.Connection reliability is average. Connection speed is very good.

I have taken BSNL FFTH connection @ kAnasultannakapura main road near doddakalasandra / Bikasipura  silver OAK gardens apartment, since one week we are not getting internet because of some technical problem in exchange.

When I called the concerned people they are not giving the proper response and they will give answer like they are doing charity work not taking the salary hopeless(no words to express about them) people. What officer are doing  and why we have to aishwaryasingh23 them if they are in losses government will give the money from what we are aishwaryasingh23ing as a TAX. What pathetic government we have.

I know that there internet plans are cheap but the quaality of network they provide is also very poor most of the times it does'nt works also they had decresed the validty for the packs .

I don't know why but even it is a government runned company but services are not provided at it best also most of the places the networks changes to 2g which is the slowest speed for any costomer so please increase yiur signal strength and increse the validity of packs

Extremely frustrating service, no customer focus or care. Connection goes down and then you are at God's grace.

I have a regret as to why I took connection and also got my other 60 odd friends to get it. There are some or the other problem on daily basis, mainly speed and consistency. On top of that pathetic service! They also made promises but eventually those are forgotten. People are getting wrongly billed. no one seem to be happy. We are going to approach private vendors now for FTTH.

We had a BSNL Broadband connection a  years back and had to face several problems.

First, link failure was almost a daily issue.

Also, we were billed doubly once - the connection we had was a one-year package payable each year, however we were billed twice in that year.

BSNL's landline service is equally bad.

First, it is costly compared to mobile phones.

Also, the staff at the branch offices tend to make people run around for everything - for example they do not say clearly which documents are required for termination of connection on death of original owner and confuse people as to which documents are actually required.

Bad experience.

BSNL is losing customers quickly to other more friendly services. It tries to attract broad band customers by offering them one month rebate for an advance annual payment.

This besides  guaranteeing atleast a one year marriage, saves them atleast 15 rupees mailing and related charges per customer per month= 180 rs.

The customer also supposedly enjoys no hassle of paying monthly bills on time and insurance from disconnection for non payment.

But this is Brainless from disuse  brain dead BSNL.

They still send you monthly modem rental charge of 150 and penal charges and interest for non payment, despite having about 12000 of your rupees in their account.

When you call to find out you start at the lowest clerk in the pecking order who just points the finger upwards in a constant closed loop finger pointing without any resolution. No one no matter how high up is willing to admit he/she is the author of such phenomenally stupid plan.

1) why The advance FTTH cost  does not include the modem rental, without which the service is worthless.

2) If they had to charge you a monthly charge it should be collected along with the FTTH charge in advance under a separate head if necessary.

3)  what prevents them from giving the same one month rental rebate benefit of 150 rupees by collecting advance modem rental.

That we all know because BSNL is brainless.
