Mahindra Reva NXR Reviews

A Good city car called Mahindra Reva
Feb 20, 2017 03:17 PM

Mahindra Reva is a customer-friendly compact car very much suited for city conditions. The owner of a Mahindra Reva should be very much satisfied with the car as one battery recharge can take you around the city for a maximum of 60 kilometers. The car can easily seat upto 3 passengers and when one takes into account the cost of the battery and subsequent recharge, it is a private transport at the cost of a public transport. Therefore, Mahindra Reva is one of the best cars and the best electric car in India that one can boast about, as the car very much fits into the customer-savvy features such as compact space, satisfaction with the dealer, fuel consumption, the cost of the vehicle and other accompanying factors such as looks, reliability and comfort.

Mahindra Reva
Jan 19, 2016 01:59 PM (via Android App)

I have a test drive with mahindra reva. Its new compact elecrtric car in india with great budget freindly price. I almost drive this car 4 to 5 hours in on road and off road condition. I am not really with performance of this car. This car pretty much attractive in the first look . Glance curves all over the body. Cute front face and burly back. Its turn lot of heads to you. Its a two door car. Its a big headlamp with projector function which is a good thing in this price range. It is longer than nano.

Now talk about the inside space. Its has a great functioned auto tunable audio system. Good lather seats which relax you more n more. LED consoles are good in use. Every inormation is neat and clean to understand you.

Performance is not as big as I think. When you are in small crowded towns you feel sum jerk when push a low accelerate. Breaks are not working properly. Average wise this car is not good as its competitor. Its give a very bad performance when you are in small towns . Oviously if you made a car for towns than you must optimised the the controls. Otherwise you going to be fail in your aspects.

Handling is not that great .

But one thing I really in this car is its electric saving features. If you charged this car to 5 to 6 hour u get a lumsum 120 to 130 km drive which is a great deal

Otherwise I will not recommended to any one this car must need some improvement.

Mahindra's Electrical Innovation - Just Awesome
Jan 16, 2016 12:14 PM

It is an electric auto however to a great degree well known in car fairs. I am very inspired by it. It truly helps in a city such as Delhi where petrol, diesel charges are too high. Once more, with this most recent presentation of environment laws; a driver might confront punishment for violating laws. Its past model was acknowledged with trepidation;but, Mahindra tweaked it for everybody.

By the by, it is neither modest nor effectively accessible as it has numerous purchasers from abroad. Another point with is absence of electric charging stations or outlets. I trust, it is still a decent alternative and each one who needs to be environment cordial must pull out all the stops.

Green Car

It is an electric car but extremely popular in automobile fairs. I am quite impressed by it.

It really helps in a city like delhi where petrol, diesel charges are too high.

Again, with this latest introduction of environment laws; a motorist may face penalty for breaking laws. Its previous model was accepted with trepidation;but, Mahindra fine tuned it for everyone.

Nevertheless, it is neither cheap nor easily available as it has many buyers from abroad.

Another point with is lack of electric charging stations or outlets.

I believe, it is still a good option and every one who wants to be environment friendly must go for it.

Mahindra Reva E2O - Things to know before buying
Apr 11, 2015 09:47 AM

I have been using Mahindra Reva E2O for the last 16 months and have covered about 12000 kms. Here are some observations that would help other buyers decide on a car purchase.

Pros:

  1. For a Rs. 7.5 Lakhs Car, many things should have been better. read on

  2. AC is good

Cons:

  1. Body breaks easily. The rear bumper broke when a scooter hit the car from behind at a speed of about 20 kms. The bumper cracked. On checking with the service centre, I was told that the cost would be around Rs 16000/-. SHOCKINGLY HIGH PRICE!

  2. On checking with the insurance company, I was told that since the car is a plastic body(ABS). The coverage is only 50%. RIDICULOUS!

  3. Car makes a lot of squeaking noise of plastic even on relatively smooth roads.

  4. The electronics controls are of poor quality.

i) The radio control knob broke(it was replaced free). But seeing a control knob break is painful, that too for  car costing Rs 7.5 Lakhs.

ii) the Power windows knob become dysfunctional. within one year.

iii) Radio - better carry on a transistor radio along if you are a FM buff. The FM has poor performance.

  1. The seats are of really inferior quality. Feels more like toy train cushion seats. One of the seat's reclining gear broke, so they had replaced the entire seat free.

Cushioning is bad

Recliner is of poor quality. Feels fragile.

  1. Power steering: Not available on the model(but current ones have). But they asked Rs. 30, 000/- for an upgrade. RIDICULOUS!!

  2. Air leakage from the door knobs brings in lot of outside dust.

  3. The promised 1 hour fast charging isn't a reality still.

  4. Foot matting is really of poor quality

  5. Suspension is poor. The ride is always bumpy.

I always wonder, why they are charging so much for the car. There is absolutely no comfort for the price you pay. They should have taken care of the above things which are basic essentials.

Verdict:

Poor suspension, poor quality parts, expensive body replacements, in the absence of a proper insurance.

Think before you blow your money!

Mahindra E2O is the best small car in the world
Feb 03, 2014 12:24 PM

In this review the E2O takes on some of the best subcompact cars not one at a time but all together! We have compared them against 36 criteria. This is done so that there is complete transparency and everybody is able to judge for himself how good the car does in that criteria. It also lays bare the strengths and weakness of each car.

Usually people think Santro is economical as it runs on CNG. But this review shows Santro is the most expensive even though the CNG price is less but it has the least mileage. Probably when the price of petrol increases maybe then Santro-CNG will be an option, but not when you already have an electric cars like the E20.

The full review can be got at PlugInIndia dot com or just Google search for'== E2O Vs Swift, Alto, Nano, Santro==' you will land up at the PluginIndia post.:-)
